Because of its location both on the Missouri River and north of the Mason Dixon Line, the city was a source of political controversy as it struggled for an economic base. Showcased here in over 200 vintage photographs and detailed captions is the history of the City of Jefferson, and how it came to be the capital of the state known as "The Gateway to the West." There were only 30 people residing in the area when Jefferson City became the capital of Missouri in October 1826. Many of the first legislators to drive were housed in tents behind a shack, labeled a "hotel." From these humble beginnings, the city labored to establish a secure economy. Elegant Hammered Gold Plastic Forks That Don't Feel Cheap

These forks were a fun addition to our holiday table. They’re a bright, shiny gold with a hammered finish and honestly look much more expensive than they are. At a glance, they really do resemble real gold flatware.
They’re also surprisingly solid. These are not flimsy, fast-food-style plastic utensils. The forks feel sturdy in your hand and can easily handle everything from salad to steak—no bending tines or snapping. Once they’re on the table, you wouldn’t know they’re plastic until you pick them up. They only downside to them is that the design to have them come to a point at the end of the handle made it slightly uncomfortable in my hand while using it.
They’re an excellent option for weddings, parties, or any event where you want an elegant table setting without using real metal flatware. They also hand-wash well and can be reused multiple times, which makes them a nice choice even for at-home entertaining when you want something that looks special without the worry.

Amazing cocoa butter
