About Kuwi:
Kuwi is a lonely, young, endangered born kiwi. She is nocturnal which means she is awake at night and sleeps during the day. She is also a ground dwelling, flightless bird which puts her at extra risk from predators. The brown kiwi lays the largest egg in comparison to her body size of any bird in the world

Kat Quin owns an award winning design studio in Te Awamutu (Waikato, New Zealand). Kuwi's First Egg is Kat's 15th illustrated children's book - but the first she has both written & illustrated
The Kuwi the Kiwi series is a proud supporter of Kiwi's for Kiwi Trust donating 20 cents from each book sale to support kiwi conservation projects in New Zealand. The series has donated $1100 to Kiwi's for Kiwis so far.
