About 200 were built for civilian and military use, including six made under license in Japan. The DC-2 flew with major airlines across the US, Europe, Asia, and Australia, improving air travel safety and efficiency before the DC-3. 

This kit captures the elegance and historical significance of the DC-2 with extensive detailing through detailed plastic parts, clear components, and precision 3D-printed elements, and diverse markings. 

The decal sheet offers four distinct liveries representing DC-2s from four continents: EAL in America; Japan’s Tsukuba of Dai Nippon Koku Kobushiki Kaisha; Australia’s Pengana shown in both ANA and AOA markings; and the European Czechoslovak OK-AIC.
