- Rinse the pouch under running water.
- Position the pouch in the water flow path of your aquarium filter.
- The effectiveness of the pillow lasts for 48 hours; after this period, it needs to be recharged.
For recharging:
- dissolve 3 tablespoons of API AQUARIUM SALT in 7 ounces of tap water.
- Rinse the pouch in tap water, then immerse it in the salt solution for 2 hours.
- Return it to the filter.
- When not in use, keep the pouch in the recharging solution; avoid allowing the pillow to dry out.
- Replace the pillow when it no longer works effectively after recharging.
