Filed neatly and undisturbed within the micro-genre of 1970s Italian artsploitation, amongst films soundtracks such as Girl With The Crystal Plumage, A Quiet Place In The Country and House With The Laughing Windows, this obscure library LP is one of the few fully formed concept albums from the recently reappraised discography of Rome's most versatile and adventurous female production music composer Daniela Casa. Once destined for a shelf life within the storage rooms of defunct TV studios and educational facilities, Daniela's previously strictly commercially unavailable music has in recent years been given new focus at the hands of open-minded disc detectives and sonic salvage hunters earning Casa's distinctive feminine take on experimental instrumental mood and movie compositions a place next to her widely respected masculine counterparts such as Alessandro Alessandroni, AR Luciani, Pierro Umiliani, Morricone and Nicolai. Sharing tight studio space and strict syndication schedules with all of the aforementioned artists (under commission from Romano Di Bari's fervently independent Flipper music factory) Daniela Casa embraced a liberating wind change in affordable music technology which opened doors for uninhabited solo compositions in home studios, taking advantage of communal recording consoles and domestic synthesizers which nurtured a lesser-documented creative family tree (or rather secret society) and paved the way for individualistic projects from the likes of Magnetic System's Fabio Frizzi and Goblin's Claudio Simonetti. Here, on this repress of the impossibly rare, one-time subscription-only album, Arte Moderna, we find Daniela at her versatile best, creating a wide thematic suite (based on paintings and sculptures in an abstract art gallery) for which she would deploy mostly organic and acoustic instruments to construct a set of unorthodox compositions straddling avant garde, free jazz and Giallo tension (with some brief moments of brooding electronics and Italian pop). Veering from her stylistic pop interests (which clearly included a fondness for the music of Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin) Casa's Arte Moderna saw her adopt a less era-specific approach, combining neo-classical elements and piano improvisations akin to the likes of France's Francois Tusques or Burton Greene, or America's Mal Waldron without compromising her strong narrative personality. Finders Keepers Records now shine new light on these sonic sculptures and provide a fresh context where educated music listeners are ready to fill the gaps between Delia Derbyshire, Ennio Morricone, Suzanne Ciani and Harry Partch.

We call him Armie! Dog loves it.

The dog loves it! Routinely carries it around squeaking all the way. The squeak is more like a quack and makes everyone giggle. It’s nice and big so a good match for our tall dog. Probably too big though for smaller dogs. Holding up well so far and that’s no mean feat given our pup’s destruction skills.

The chewability of this toy from 1-10 is a 10 all day 👍🏻

I have a Boston Terrier and he’s a serious extreme CHEWER! He loves this Hollypet Plush Dog Squeaky Toy Stuffed Armadillo! My doh gnaws on the tail, legs, the ears and the nose and all are still in tact. He’s had it for what I consider a long time. Usually he rips toys apart in the first day but this has been months! I throw this in the washing machine with his other stuffed animal toys simply because the ears, noses and tail get so stiff from chewing on them they need to be washed and they bounce right back just like new. Chewability from 1-10 is a 10 all day long! He plays with it a for a long while each time he uses it. Very active with his Armadillo and it’s so cute and the squeaker is just right, it’s not that loud screaming squeak. If he ever lost this or it got destroyed somehow? I’d buy him this all over again. Worth the money!

Fun dog toy, but not for heavy chewers

The armadillo is cute. My pittie, Sasha, was very excited to see it. She just had TPLO surgery on her left knee (she tore her ACL just before the 4th of July), and I wanted to get her something she could play with while she convalesces, that isn't a ball—she really likes to run and jump and chase the ball, but with her knee out of commission, I didn't want her to get depressed being trapped in her crate while she heals—with this toy, she was able to keep playing and not over excert herself and get more hurt. It quickly became her favorite toy; she chews it relentlessly and gets made when I take it from her (see below).
It makes a funky squeak that's not a high-pitched squeak, like I thought it would be; it's more a low-pitched, lowing sound like a baby calf. One thing I would like to point out to other purchasers about what the description says:
"Durable and Long Lasting - Made from premium soft materials, our cute plush dog toys can withstand rough play for indoor or outdoor and last for years to come. The textured surface also helps massage and soothe your dog's gums during playtime"
This is a little misleading. It's a good texture and Sasha loved to play with it, but it wasn't very durable. It might be when compared to other chew toys, but not for my baby. She tore the nose off within 20 minutes of getting it. The next morning, she ripped off an ear, and I had to pull the stuffing out of the face so she wouldn't eat it while chewing away. She doesn't seem to mind, but I sure wish it had held up a little more.
All-in-all, this was a good toy for a few days.

Fun Dog Toy, Relatively Durable, Looks Great, and Squeaker Isn't Annoying!

This is a fun and well-made dog toy that’s held up better than expected, especially considering my dog usually makes quick work of stuffed toys. He’s not the most aggressive chewer, but he’s definitely skilled at tearing things up over time, and this one is still going strong so far. The plush armadillo design is adorable and comes in a variety of color options, which is a nice bonus. It has your standard fluff type filling, and I really appreciate that the squeaker has more of that low grunting sound (like a pig), rather than a sharp, high-pitched one. It’s much less annoying to listen to during playtime. The 10" size was just right for my 45 lb dog, offering a good size for tugging and carrying around. Comfortable to hold, seemingly durable so far, and cute design. Seems to be a winner, would recommend!

Perfect size, cute, reasonably durable, and my dog loves it.

I ordered this for my 2year old, 55lb Staffy Pitt mix. She’s usually pretty rough on toys. She seems to either destroy them after 15 minutes, or, in a few instances, decides that she likes them enough to treat them more gently, in which they last for months or longer. I have no idea how she chooses, but in this case, she pretty much immediately ripped off part of an ear, but then, and since that time, has played and chewed on it without causing further damage. The toy is pretty adorable and looks and feels well made. It’s not constructed with a super durable material like some toys made for aggressive chewers are, but it’s also not marketed as a toy for aggressive chewers, so the material used is appropriate. The fabric feels dense and of a high quality, and the stitching looks to be of a high quality as well. I chose the 8-inch version in pink, and I’m happy with this size. It’s not too big, nor too small, and is easily portable. It arrived smashed up in a small bag, and I thought maybe it would be deformed when I took it out, but it wasn’t. It unfolded right away and then maintained its normal shape perfectly. Happy with this product, and after receiving it, I ended up ordering another, this time the 6-inch version, and while that is also a nice option, I like, and feel that the 8-inch version is a better deal. If this toy continues to last for a few more months, I would order another one, as my dog enjoys playing with it. It’s not her go to toy, but it is one of the few she keeps in playing rotation on a regular basis.
