Performing just as their counterpart, Speckled Stroke & Coat glazes are an enhanced version of popular Stroke & Coat colours. The addition of small specks of colour to the base glaze provides a fun visual interest that does not melt or flow during the 06 glaze firing.
Mayco Stroke & Coat is the industry’s most versatile glaze, which can be the star of your work or play a supporting role to other glazes. It can be applied on greenware or bisque, fired from cone 06 to cone 10, in oxidation or reduction, and used in every decorative way imaginable. These heavily pigmented, viscous glazes can be applied as painterly brush strokes or achieve full opaque coverage. Because the liquid colour is consistent with the fired colour, artists will have no trouble visualizing finished results as they create. Stoke & Coat is a staple product for the studio, classroom, potter or fine artist.
FIRING
- Broad firing range from cone 06 (999°C) - cone 10 (1,305°C). Most will maintain their colour at higher temperatures. Performance at cone 6 is noted on each individual bottle. Some may blur when used in designs at mid range or high fire. We recommend testing on your clay and in your kiln prior to use.
- Food safe when fired correctly.
- Fires to a gloss finish without the need for clear glaze. Clear glaze can be added if additional glossiness is desired, or if Stroke & Coat has not been applied consistently to achieve overall coverage. Adding clear glaze to cone 5 and higher can affect the colour outcome and may cause designs to move and blur.
APPLICATION
- Can be applied on wet clay, greenware or bisque.
- Can be applied with a brush, a sponge, a detailer bottle, mats, or silkscreens.
- One coat of will create a translucent finish, with subsequent coats adding opacity.
- Use 2-3 coats for full opacity and all over coverage. Let dry between coats.
- Lighter colours can be used over dark colours, remaining bright and opaque, and will not blend with the colours underneath.
- At low-fire (including majolica techniques), glazes will not move or blend when used with other glazes. You can apply side-by-side or layer without losing the integrity of the design.
- For a more painterly approach, dilute glazes with water to create a thinned watercolour-like glaze. Use these tints to layer for seamless blending.
- Can be layered with other glazes to create unique effects.
- Suitable for a wide range of design techniques including sgraffito, stamping, slip trailing, marbling, majolica, and more.
- If you apply one coat of Stroke & Coat on top of a matte glaze, the Stroke & Coat will fire matte. By applying 2-3 coats, the Stroke & Coat will fire glossy.
Note: Tiles shown are fired flat on a white clay body fired to cone 06 / 6 oxidation and cone 10 reduction. The choice of clay body, the thickness of glaze application, the firing process, and temperature will affect the fired results.

A phenomenal read

Amazing!

Yeah, this book is definitely the start of something special. I'm really pumped for this new world that K.C. Kean has created. The plot is really intriguing and so are the characters. I became so immersed in this world filled with vampires, mages, fae, shifters, and wolves.
The female main character, Addi, is a contender in an academy filled with different supernaturals competing to become the new heir of a kingdom that has fallen apart. She deals with so much push back from most because of who she is and is constantly on the defense. She is such a badass and I loved every one of her mantras to herself.
As far as the romance, it's steamy, it's hot, it's a slow burn, yet it's not. Yep, that's how I'm describing it. These men are dark, humorous, and addictive. They definitely have an air of mystery surrounding them and I just want to know more!
I saw part of that cliffhanger coming but it still slapped me in the face. 😆 I live for amazing cliffhangers though and we don't have to wait long until book two because it releases June 28th!!!

the gasp I guspped 😱

This book was so good. I love the world that has been created so far in this story.
Addi is a boss and the fact that she is having to hide who she really is from everyone at the academy yet also being able to stand her ground and not be bullied into anything just shows how strong she really is. She doesn’t take anything lying down and even if it makes the target bigger on her she sticks to what she believes is right. Raiden, Brody, Cassian and Kryll all seem to have a pull towards Addi but with them all competing against each other in the hopes to become the next heir they try every way they can think to get her out of their heads and out of their way.
I love the push and pull between Addi and the guys. They have this electric chemistry that makes them want to hate each other but fine that they don’t want to pull away from each other.
I really can’t stand the girls who are always trying to start stuff with Addi just because the guys show interest and they feel like they have a right to.That also goes for Cassians dad and the dean and her elitist self 🙄
But that ending had me GASPING 😱 like I knew he was a crap person but I didn’t expect that at all. I need the next book ASAP

It's okay... Needs something

This author has potential but her books tend to follow the same formula on plot that I usually DNF. Plot - Girl has goal, boys determined to chase her off (usually for dumb reason), mean girls, and before book 1 is done, guys enamoured with FMC cuz she shiny and pretty. It gets boring fast. This one is an improvement, I completed it and for the most part, I liked it.
However, I hate when the FMC tells herself to stay focused, thinks logical, looks like she will be a strong FMC, and in the next chapter succumbing to the MMCs due to lust. Why? Especially, when there hasn't been much conversation between them to justify that level of attraction or connection. Don't get me wrong, I love spice, just make it make sense, its giving fast burn and if that's the case, write 1 book.
Second issue, I love bully romances, I want to hate the MMCs, than I want the author to some how make me love them. Chefs kiss 😘 So, I was draw to this book bc of that theme...Not getting it here. Technically, they are sort of mean but this ain't it. One is mean but for a stupid reason... he doesn't need to be distracted by his attraction 🙄, he just looks weak to not be able to control that, just saying. The other two are just followers and don't really care enough about her to bully her. Last one, doesn't bully her, he's just trying to get in her pants.
Lastly, we are to believe MMcs are baddies... cruel, ruthless, ambitious, and dangerous... please show me that in the next book cuz saw none of that in this one. That goes for the FMC, the men shouldn't be able to get over her all the dang time, definitely not for someone who has been training their whole life to take back their crown!
Third issue, the academy concept is falling flat for me. That needs some world building, development... Something! Its just reading filler space to me. The book description reads like this school is designed to weed out the weak by difficult competitive challenges so your left with one strong leader who will take the throne. Nah... more like charm school.
All in all, it follows the same formula as her other "academy" books but slightly better... Not sure if that's true, or maybe I was just determined to finish one of her books for once.

A good start to the story

This was definitely entertaining, and the cliffhanger left me curious to see what happens next. Addi is definitely a bad ass and she has to prove herself Day in and Day out because of what she is. I love that. She never cowards and always rises to a challenge. She doesn’t let anyone push her and she always has a comeback for any prejudice thing said to her. I’m looking for more from the guys cause so far I’m honestly unimpressed. They definitely have some growth and helping within these next few books I’ll see that growth and like them a little more.
