Beginners Watercolour Painting Workshops | Levels 5-8

Continue your watercolour painting journey with instruction from Grasby's. With over a decade of experience, our proven program supports new artists through a structured, level-by-level approach, allowing you to progress at your own pace. In levels 5-8, you will build upon your basic understanding of colour mixing, wet, dry, and combined techniques.  You will explore techniques in more detail and create watercolour paintings to a more finished standard. The projects are designed to familiarize participants with the planning, preparation, timing, and layering of watercolour techniques to create art around popular themes, namely: landscape, floral, still life, butterflies, birds, buildings, and more.

• Essential colour theory and colour mixing techniques

• Mark Making Techniques
• How to combine and layer techniques to create a finished work of art
• Proper brush handling and palette management

• $360 for the full course of 4 workshops

• Duration: 3 hours per workshop
• Time: 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM
• Location: 6520 Bowness Road NW, Calgary
• Workshop Dates:  Watercolour Course 2 (level 5-8) is offered every second month on Sundays and on Fridays.
