This 23-track mix therefore includes respected names like Chicago innovator Paul Johnson and Detroit multi-instrumentalist Amp Fiddler. Three exclusive Martinez Brothers tracks stud the 75-minute offering. "Jam Joint" is a hypnotic, stripped-back groover whilst the lead single "Mistakes" is a more tech-oriented offering. Roots Orchestra, aka the prodigious Timmy Regisford, brings noteworthy percussive roots slant to the New York house electronic collection. The stand-out collaboration with New York house aficionado Louie Vega on the soulful "Let It Go (TMB Alternate Version)" convincingly rounds up the comp. I Smell Like a Gentleman Who Owns a Fireplace
Scent: Bourbon Oak, Size: 16 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
The fragrance is warm, woody, and slightly sweet...that low amber note that smells expensive without trying to smell expensive, which, as we all know, is the actual expensive smell. My wife walked past me twenty minutes post-shower and said, unprompted, "You smell really good." I nodded like I had planned this.
The lather is genuinely rich; squeeze a modest amount and it blooms into a thick, creamy foam that covers everything efficiently. The texture is silky rather than watery, which matters more than people admit. Watery body washes feel like rinsing off with slightly scented regret. This one feels intentional. It cleans, and your skin actually feels clean afterward, not just rinsed. And the moisturizing? I wasn't expecting it. No greasy film, no lotion-begging dry patches by midday. Just quietly softer skin that doesn't make a big announcement about it.
Now, my honest gripe: the scent longevity has a ceiling. By mid-afternoon you're back to neutral. That's the gap between four stars and five for me. For daily freshness and an incredible morning window of smelling genuinely great, it absolutely delivers...but it won't carry you to bedtime.
On value: 16 fl oz is decent, the lather is efficient so the bottle lasts, and the price sits in that sweet spot where you feel like someone who makes slightly elevated but still reasonable choices, which is exactly the vibe this entire product is going for.
