With roots in Americana, stoner metal and Post-Rock, Bask is turning out their own brand of doom. Psychedelic, heavy, and scenic songs weave through sections of driving riffs, thundering percussion, loose grooves and glimmering guitar. All topped with vocals that conjure spirits of old country crooners. "Bask are a young band from North Carolina that play a highly original blend of Americana, country, Post-Rock and Stoner/Doom Metal. American Hollow is the bands debut on The Path Less Traveled Records and, without a doubt, I can say it is one of the most unique records I've come across in years. "High Mountain Pass" is an energetic album opener, starting with a half-time shuffle that breaks into a pretty straight-forward Stoner Rock groove, similar to some of the less aggressive tunes by Red Fang. The vocals have a pretty noticeable twang to them, giving the music a distinctly country vibe, though with a bit more power and volume than anything you'll hear on a modern country record. The vocals are a strong point, to be sure, but the music they're soaring over is just as powerful; jangly guitars, low rumbly bass, and big drums that are pretty reminiscent of the tone John Bonham laid down in classic Led Zeppelin, though with a little more dynamics. The first track might be a little misleading though, as the rest of the album has an almost dreamlike feel to them, particularly on the slower songs like "American Hollow" and "A Mans Worth," both of which have a melancholy country-like feel to them. "American Hollow" in particular has a post-rock, indie rock vibe mixed in, almost like Band Of Horses, except Bask go into a bit heavier territory, whereas Band Of Horses obviously have a more radio-friendly vibe." For fans of Led Zeppelin, Red Fang, and Band of Horses.

My rosacea approves

I have Rosacea, dry, sensitive, reactive skin and perimenopausal skin. My rosacea products tends to dry my already dry skin and this has been been a great moisturizer. My skin looks dewy, dullness and dryness have improved in just 2 days; I haven't reacted with sting and redness like I usually do and when I wake up I still have a dewy not greasy face even though I sleep on my sides and toss and turn all night. Definitely going to buy again since the bottle size is good, a lil goes a long way and does not make my face react like the CeraVe.

Your makeup won't get ruined! ❤️

I'm new to skincare and I didn't know we were supposed to wear sunscreen! 😱 Turns out it's arguably the most important step of skincare.
First, I like the texture of this sunscreen. It's not greasy, it's velvety and smooth. It feels nice on my skin.
I used this for the first time yesterday, and I just want those of you to know who are considering buying this, it applies well against makeup! That was one of my main concerns. I did my skincare with this sunscreen as a final step, then put on my makeup. The sunscreen acted as a primer, honestly, so I skipped primer. When I reapplied the sunscreen hours later, my makeup didn't smear! Instead I had a nice, healthy glow to my skin. I actually think it enhanced my makeup; my makeup seemed to last longer than usual. If you find yourself to be TOO glowy after a while, just apply a bit of translucent powder and your makeup will stretch even longer.
Bonus: It fits nicely in your purse! Good for people like me with a million things they insist on carrying around.

Daily Staple Sunscreen

I’ve been really impressed with this sunscreen—it’s become a daily staple for my face and hands. The SPF 70 gives great peace of mind, especially with regular sun exposure, and it feels lightweight rather than heavy or greasy.
It absorbs quickly and doesn’t leave that thick white cast, which is a huge plus for everyday wear. On my face, it layers well under makeup without pilling, and on my hands, it doesn’t feel sticky or transfer onto everything I touch.
I also appreciate that it holds up well throughout the day without needing constant reapplication (unless I’m outside a lot). Overall, it’s a reliable, high-protection sunscreen that’s comfortable enough to use every day.

Works well when properly applied

I try to always buy the highest SPF that I can find. This one fits the bill. If you apply it thoroughly all over and then reapply every few hours, you shouldn't get burned. I've worn it to the water park numerous times now. I have very sensitive skin, and it's given me no issues. I even put it on my face, just being careful not to get too close to my eye area. Once it absorbs into your skin, it doesn't feel too sticky like some other sunscreens can. Just be aware that it will leave a white residue on your bathing suit if you get it on there, but I've always been able to wash it out and that's a small price to pay for proper sun protection!

Excellent product.

Excellent product. The sun is extremely strong where I live, and I've been using this for several days now; it lasts a very long time on the skin. However, if you have very sensitive skin, I wouldn't recommend using it on your face—in my case, it caused a breakout. But for the neck, body, and arms, it’s excellent. I highly recommend it, and it doesn't leave a bad feel on the skin or an unpleasant smell. If you use it in the water, it is recommended to reapply every hour and 20 minutes, otherwise you might get sunburned.
