About Raeren Stoneware

During the 16th century, Raeren was one of Europe's most important centers for stoneware production. Raeren potters developed sophisticated techniques for creating durable, beautifully decorated vessels using salt-glazing methods. These pieces were highly prized throughout Renaissance Europe and were exported across the continent. Today, Raeren stoneware is represented in major museum collections worldwide and is considered among the finest examples of Renaissance ceramic art.

Salt-Glazing Technique

Salt-glazing was a revolutionary ceramic technique where common salt was thrown into the kiln at peak temperature, creating a distinctive orange-peel textured glaze. This process produced exceptionally durable vessels with a characteristic lustrous surface. The technique required extraordinary skill and knowledge, making Raeren potters among the most accomplished craftsmen of their era.

It does crack, but it’s sturdy. Weird…
We receive the product about a week ago. It was installed on the wall today. We just noticed there is a crack on it. Upon pushing the two sides together, the sides did not budge. It’s sturdy, but has a crack. Look, it’s not a big deal to me. The crack is the reason I rated this product a four star. The crack is part of the character of the product. The plastic piece, that holds the blade, moves a lot. I have to make an effort to hold the wax paper firmly on the top corner. Again, not an issue since the alternative typically causes me to have an uneven cut. At least this cuts straight across with no issues. That said, we knew going into it that this product may not fit in our drawers. The wood part is perfect, fits great. But, the blades (the black plastic sliding part) did not fit and our drawers could not close. We knew this because we measured. DEFINITELY MEASURE AHEAD OF TIME. There are multiple sizes to these products and some are deeper than others.

GREAT SPACE SAVER
If you are person that hates clutter then this is worth every penny! I was so sick of the boxes getting crushed/damaged from handling them over and over. The quality of the box is strong and durable. Perfect size to fit in a kitchen drawer. It’s so easy to use and looks great! The stickers allow for a variety of functionality. I was able to organize the rolls the way that I wanted and then add the stickers to the box. Love this product!!

Paper organizer and cutter
As described and works pretty well. Sometimes has issues and have to move the product around to get the cutter in the correct position. Only complaint is does not fit all the parchment and different paper widths.
