"Long-awaited and important . . . No other book before has so thoroughly related the broad history of Indian slavery in the Americas."--San Francisco Chronicle

"A necessary work . . . Res ndez's] reportage will likely surprise you."--NPR

"One of the most profound contributions to North American history."--Los Angeles Times

Since the time of Columbus, Indian slavery was illegal in much of the American continent. Yet, as Andr s Res ndez illuminates in his myth-shattering The Other Slavery, it was practiced for centuries as an open secret. There was no abolitionist movement to protect the tens of thousands of Natives who were kidnapped and enslaved by the conquistadors. Res ndez builds the incisive case that it was mass slavery--more than epidemics--that decimated Indian populations across North America. Through riveting new evidence, including testimonies of courageous priests, rapacious merchants, and Indian captives, The Other Slavery reveals nothing less than a key missing piece of American history. For over two centuries we have fought over, abolished, and tried to come to grips with African American slavery. It is time for the West to confront an entirely separate, equally devastating enslavement we have long failed truly to see.

"Beautifully written . . . A tour de force."--Chronicle of Higher Education

This a an excellent comprehensive text that would be an asset to any project manager.
Format: Kindle
This is the best project management book I have read in many years. It is structured in a comprehensive and clear format that allows the reader to follow the author. The author has also provided clarity on different methods of project management that can be used to manage a variety of projects with examples of how each method can be applied. In addition to the knowledge of project management and excellent examples of how each method can be applied the author has provided keynotes to other references a reader can seek out for additional reading. This is an excellent text that I wish had been available to me years ago. 👍🏻

Become a Project Management Pro
Format: Kindle
This book is all about the ins and outs of managing a project from start to finish, and it's broken down so it's easy to understand. The practical examples helped me understand the concepts, and I've been using the tips at work, making my projects run smoother than ever. I especially appreciated the step-by-step guide to implementing these principles. If you're new to project management, or if you've been winging it and want to step up your game, I'd highly recommend this book.

Easy to use organized guide that takes you step by step through a process
Format: Paperback, Format: Paperback
I've been investing in real estate for 5+ years and have worked for a private equity group as Director of Acquisitions. To be successful as an investor, you need to have a system. That's what I like about Symon's book. He presents a very systematic way to invest in real estate. The Table of Content presents a strong outline that takes you from the Why of real estate investing to How to expand your portfolio and work with partners. The book also has several helpful charts and images to drive home each lesson. Although the book feels comprehensive like a textbook, it's written in a way that's easy to understand and logical to follow. Symon's approach is also very metrics based (see photos). His scorecards help you test out your ideas by creating objective metrics to look at. I highly recommend this book!
