The Rebu were a courageous and strong people, but they were no match for the huge numbers of the Egyptian troops or their tactics. Now teenage Amuba, crown prince of the Rebu, finds himself a slave of the priest of Bubastes, a feline goddess in Thebes. Amuba learns much as he deals with the strange customs of his young master Chebron and of another enslaved people, the Hebrews.
