The Seiko Selection Mechanical Two Tone SARV004 is a highly refined, structurally balanced mechanical sport-dress watch belonging to the exclusive Japanese Domestic Market Seiko Selection Collection. Purpose-built to act as an accessibly priced yet luxurious everyday companion, this JDM exclusive reference bridges the gap between traditional corporate aesthetics and athletic daily build quality. The timepiece is executed inside a robust 42.0 mm stainless steel case that features a distinctive, mirror-polished yellow gold-plated stationary bezel. Measuring a highly versatile 11.6 mm in thickness and featuring a commanding lug-to-lug length of 51.5 mm, it offers a bold, authoritative presence on the arm while remaining sleek enough to tuck under a buttoned shirt cuff, paired with a matching two-tone Oyster-style three-link stainless steel bracelet that features polished yellow gold plated center accents. The primary visual anchor is its magnificent clean sunray white dial face, which uses a subtle metallic radial texture to capture and alter light beautifully. Powering this dependable workhorse is the trusted, in-house Calibre 4R36 mechanical automatic movement, which beats at a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour and provides a reliable 41-hour power reserve along with manual self-winding and stop-seconds hacking capability. The highly practical dial layout features a comprehensive dual-language (English/Japanese Kanji) day and date display window framed smoothly at the 3 o'clock position. To maximize readability at a glance, the face incorporates applied gold-plated baton markers and sharp, beveled sport hands filled with high-intensity LumiBrite compound for rapid orientation in low-light environments. Turning the watch over reveals a see-through exhibition screw-down case back that shows off the running 24-jewel movement and central winding weight. Fortified with an everyday 100-meter water resistance rating and an integrated antimagnetic shielding framework, this Made-in-Japan masterpiece stands out as a highly resilient, executive choice for versatile styling.

A wonderful edition!
Format: Paperback
I highly recommend this edition above all others available. The translation is very clear and lucid and actually makes Timaeus and Critias real page-turners. Not only is the translation great, but the introductory material is incredible. While one review here mentions that the translation misses some of the nuance of Platonic thought (which I don't necessarily agree with that), the introduction more than makes up for that. So many available editions of Timaeus are written by reluctant scholars who act puzzled as to why they've been asked to introduce Timaeus when they are obviously either not fond of it, or dismissive of it as an authentic piece of Plato's canon. At last, we have an edition that is faithful and generous to the source material!

The origin of Atlantis was orally passed down from an Egyptian priest.
Format: Paperback
I haven’t even finished it yet because I’ve been very busy with college. However, it is fascinating to read the story of Atlantis. Personally, I believe it was a real lost city. Mythology can sometimes be true if it speaks about lost cities.
