About the Author David Ossman, one of the four creators of The Firesign Theatre, three-time Grammy nominees, known as "The Beatles of Comedy," has been publishing poetry in books, anthologies and magazines since his teen years. Most of the poems in Marshmallows & Despair were first heard on NPR's All Things Considered, the Firesign's gold-medal-winning XM Satellite program, Fools In Space, and the web's Radio Free Oz. An internationally-celebrated radio writer-director, best known for The War of the Worlds 50th Anniversary Production, Ossman has also produced major programs with John Cage, Ray Bradbury and Norman Corwin. As "George Tirebiter," he ran a national comedy campaign for U.S. Vice-President in 1976, is the voice of "Cornelius" in Pixar's A Bug's Life, and has adapted Agatha Christie's BBC Murders, Jean Cocteau's Orpheus and an e. e. cummings cabaret for stage. Ossman was born Dec. 6, 1936 in Santa Monica, California, graduated from Columbia University, and has lived on Whidbey Island, Washington, with his wife and partner, Judith Walcutt, for thirty years. They have two sons, Orson, a filmmaker, and Preston, a musician. He is currently finishing a second memoir, Fighting Clowns. Reviews "Reading David Ossman is like finding yourself caught up in a whirlwind of whimsy and dark augury. Imagine you're trying to run through a dust devil, arms flailing and hair flying and Ossman's poems are like looking up through the funnel and seeing the sun. David Ossman is an acute observer who makes flesh the Walpole dictum: "The world is a tragedy to those who feel, but a comedy to those who think."" Bart Baxter Poet, Pilot, World Traveller & Master of Ceremonies "We all knew there was a poetry in the madness of Firesign Theater, but there's also an inspired madness in the poetry of Firesign's David Ossman. Marshmallows & Despair reveals the heart that has always been at the center of Ossman's work, changing the way one thinks about his comedy, and all comedy for that matter. With a light touch and delirious passion, Ossman takes us on a journey that is both personal and universal. Transcendent." Douglas Rushkoff author of Present Shock "A compelling diary of the first years of the century, these genial and biting poems remind us of the uniquely literary dimension of Ossman's old group, Firesign Theatre, and can be read alongside the broadcasts and albums of their great late period." Jeremy Braddock Cornell University, Modernist Studies Book Prize winner. "Funny, deeply layered, and subversive." John Goodman Unforgettable film, television, stage, and voice actor.Binding Type: Paperback

Very helpful
Size: 8 Fl Oz (Pack of 1), Style: Sport Lotion SPF 50
This sunscreen is a fantastic value, especially since I managed to grab it while it was on sale. It applies smoothly without feeling overly greasy and provides solid protection for outdoor activities. It is definitely worth picking up if you can find a good deal on it, as it does exactly what it is supposed to do. I will be keeping an eye out for another sale so I can stock up for the rest of the summer.

Great product
I really like this sunscreen!
It feels lightweight, absorbs quickly, and doesn’t leave my skin feeling greasy. The SPF 55 gives great protection, and it works well for everyday use. Great value for the price!

Delivers what it promises
I’m a fair skinned person who burns and freckles easily and in my 40’s. I also love being outside. I have worn spf on my face (and usually my hands) basically every day since I was 13 and because of that people always say I don’t look my age. Back then, only a 4 or 8 was available in face moisturizers, but I have always worn the highest that is recommended and usually face moisturizers are behind in meeting the recommendations so I have usually worn a full on sunscreen under my makeup. As the recommendations get higher it has been harder to find something that doesn’t look pasty, smell bad or interfere with makeup. I was using Eucerin spf 30 and Cera Ve spf 30 but I have wanted to increase spf to 50 because that is what is recommended now. I tried the Cera Ve spf 50 and was disappointed by how tacky it is and pasty it looks. I don’t even like wearing it alone to the beach because it’s so chalky white and sticky. Neutrogena healthy defense is alright but it has a scent and some chemicals that are not so good. It also is a pretty small bottle (1.7 oz) when you use it everyday on face and hands.
But THIS product has blown me away with its affordability and quality. It IS sheer. Easily blends in and disappears quickly into skin. It’s completely odorless. It’s not tacky or greasy—you feel moisturized but not sticky. It performs under foundation even better than the Cera Ve 30. Now, this doesn’t have the extra ceramides and vitamins that does so I’ll still be using that when I feel extra dry like in winter, or I might mix the two moisturizers, but this Solimo reef safe sunscreen will definitely be my daily face and hand sunscreen in the spring, summer and early fall. These are the days I go straight from work to the garden or the beach. I can quickly reapply over my makeup before I leave the house again feel fully protected while I’m out.
