The Recon 2 Sleeping Bag is a military-grade, lightweight sleeping bag designed for outdoor use in temperatures as low as 41°F (5°C). The bag weighs 2.5 pounds and packs into a 210D Nylon Oxford compression sack measuring 18 cm by 20 cm, facilitating easy transport and storage.
Materials include a durable outer top shell made from 210T ripstop nylon with a Teflon finish for water resistance and durability. The outer bottom shell is constructed from 210D nylon Oxford with a PU2000mm waterproof coating. The inner shell is also 210T ripstop nylon, ensuring comfort and resilience. The insulation is 80 grams per square meter of DuPont® Thermolite™ Micro synthetic fiber, enhanced with an ultra-thin barrier of anti-bacterial silver micro fiber that improves heat retention and inhibits bacterial growth. The insulation is flat-filled to eliminate cold spots, providing consistent warmth throughout the sleeping bag.
Key features include a central double puller heavy-duty No 8 spiral zipper with a storm flap and anti-snag design, internal hanging tabs, and bonded seams for durability. The hood is shaped for comfort and includes a draw cord and barrel lock for adjustment. The internal pocket accommodates PDA or phone storage. Reinforced internal baffle foot area features 210D nylon Oxford with waterproof finish, preventing damage from boots. Additional features include internal and external hanging tabs, a shaped hood for thermal efficiency, and a spider compression sack for compact packing. The sleeping bag is ISO 9001:2000 compliant, ensuring quality manufacturing standards.
