Up There is a book of untold stories from the huts of the High Tatras. Inside you'll find musings and legends no mountain lover should miss. About the pope's secret visit to Silesian House. About drawing matchsticks on Rysy. About a Czech hiker and her wedding veil.

The stories were written by journalist Samo Marec, whose father was a keeper at three of the huts himself. For each of the 13 Slovak huts we captured atmosphere, facts and timeless tips — and we added four new chapters on the Polish side of the range. Photography by Jakub Čaprnka, drawings by Ivana Čobejová, and one original illustration per hut by Adrián Macho.

If you have dry callused soles, these are your answer. All my calluses left and my feet were very soft. They should not be walked in unless you are very, very careful as you will slip and fall. I stopped using them for a while and all my problem calluses are back, even when I use lotion at night. They tell you not to sleep in them, I don't know why. I do put these on at night and end up taking them off later as they're not comfortable to sleep in.
