Anthurium papillilaminum Pink Var. × Anthurium ‘Michelle’ is a premium hybrid Anthurium created for collectors who love dramatic velvet foliage, strong genetics, and refined color expression. This cross combines the dark, luxurious character of papillilaminum-type foliage with the elegant hybrid influence of Michelle, resulting in a plant with striking visual potential and high collector appeal.

Plant Characteristics

This Anthurium hybrid typically features velvety, heart-shaped leaves with a deep green to dark green surface and prominent contrasting veins. New leaves may emerge with soft pink, bronze, or reddish tones before hardening into a richer mature color, depending on growing conditions. The leaf texture is smooth, plush, and luxurious, making it highly desirable for rare aroid collectors. Its growth habit is upright and compact when young, gradually developing larger leaves as it matures. With proper care, mature plants can produce impressive foliage with a bold, elegant form.

Care Guide

Provide bright, indirect light to support strong leaf development and healthy coloration. Avoid harsh direct sun, which may damage the velvet foliage. Water when the top layer of the potting mix begins to dry, keeping the roots lightly moist but never waterlogged. Maintain high humidity, ideally 65–85%, with good airflow. Keep temperatures between 65–85°F for steady tropical growth. Use a chunky, well-draining aroid mix with orchid bark, perlite, coco chips, charcoal, and a small amount of sphagnum or peat.

Why Collectors Love It

Collectors love this hybrid for its rare parentage, velvet leaf texture, and potential for beautiful pink-toned new growth. It is an excellent choice for Anthurium enthusiasts seeking a distinctive, high-end tropical houseplant with strong display value.

Nice boot!!
Size: 8.5, Color: Black
Very comfortable. Built well and obviously high quality. Fits a little big, about a size larger. They are a little thinner/cooler than the Danner Wildland and Haix Missoula. They do not have any NFPA rated tags or labels on the boot. Will upgrade the laces. Would love to see the boa system on this boot!

Needs work
Size: 12, Color: Black
I’m disappointed that I spent almost 400$ on a pair of boots and wore them for 3 days and both boot laces broke near the eyelets. As a wildland firefighter I need to be able to rely on my boots.

Like all Asics I've owned - Good
Size: 12 X-Wide, Color: Steel Grey/Cloud Grey
I've worn Asics for about 35 years now. Every pair I've had, and there have been many, have fit well and gotten the job done. The Gel-Venture 11 are performing as expected which is very well. The cushioning and support in the heel and arch are excellent. Very comfortable to walk and run in these shoes. Finally, and less importantly, the looks are just OK. The cheap "iron on" Asics logo doesn't look good. I've been purchasing Asics for as long as I have strictly for the performance quality anyway.

Nice, sturdy trail running and walking shoes
Size: 9.5, Color: Midnight/Grey Blue
I like Asics athletic shoes. They consistently fit my feet quite well. These shoes seem sturdy and have good grippy tread, ideal for light hiking, trail running and general every day use. Comfortable. My only gripe about Asics is the tread on previous shoes seems to wear out quickly. I walk and hike about 35-40 miles a week and the past Asics I’ve had usually lose their rear tread after six months so maybe that is normal.

Very comfortable
Size: 9.5, Color: Black/Cool Grey
Awesome shoe, very comfortable. As a trail shoe it is a little firmer than a running sneaker as expected. The unexpected was the comfort the shoe provided. Nice looking as well. I've been wearing against most of my life. Always find myself coming back to them when I tried other brands. Size consistency has always been near perfect.
