Elevate the reliability and organization of your studio, rack, or AV installation with the SignalSAFE IEC Power Cords from Middle Atlantic. Built to replace stock cables that ship with components, these cords deliver a premium power connection that supports clean, consistent performance for critical gear. SignalSAFE power cords are designed to maximize rack space and minimize cable clutter behind the equipment, while offering durable construction and flexible fit for environments that demand professional-grade power management. Whether you’re wiring a compact AV rack, a high-density server shelf, or a complex audio-visual setup, these IEC cords provide the trusted quality you expect from Middle Atlantic, with the versatility to meet a range of installation requirements.

  • Space-saving design with options for standard or low-profile configurations and 90° angled plugs, specifically crafted to reduce bulk and congestion at the rear of racks. This helps improve airflow, simplify cable management, and speed up maintenance while preserving a clean, professional appearance.
  • Conductor options tailored for performance and safety—constructed with either 14-gauge wire or 18-gauge wire for cable and satellite cords, enabling a balance between flexibility and current-carrying capability. The choice of gauge supports typical power needs without sacrificing durability or ease of routing behind equipment.
  • Direct replacement for stock power cords on compatible components, delivering a dependable, factory-like fit that aligns with the standard IEC inlet and power distribution setups commonly found in professional environments. SignalSAFE cords are crafted to maintain consistent connectivity even in demanding rack conditions.
  • Durable, high-quality construction designed to withstand the rigors of daily use in broadcast, AV, and IT environments. The robust insulation and sheath protect against wear, abrasion, and environmental stress, helping to extend cord life and reduce the risk of intermittent power issues.
  • Multiple sizes available to fit a wide range of equipment and installation layouts, ensuring that you can select the optimal length for your rack depth and cable routing needs. This flexibility makes it easy to tailor power distribution to the exact dimensions of your setup while keeping cables tidy and organized.

how to install Middle Atlantic SignalSAFE IEC-6X20SC

Installing a SignalSAFE IEC power cord is straightforward and designed to be as hassle-free as possible in professional installations. Start by powering down all equipment and disconnecting any connected devices to prevent electrical shock or data loss. Identify the appropriate length from your inventory of SignalSAFE cords, selecting a version that provides enough slack behind the rack without creating tension or excessive curvature. Align the IEC inlet on the back of your device with the corresponding end of the power cord, and firmly insert the connector until it seat-ends securely in place. Route the cord along the rear panel or through cable management channels, avoiding sharp bends and ensuring the cable does not interfere with fans, vents, or sliding rack drawers. If you’re using the 90° angled plug variant, orient the plug to minimize interference with adjacent cables while maximizing clearance for airflow. Finally, connect the other end of the cord to your power distribution unit or electrical outlet, restore power, and verify that all connected devices boot normally and draw current without interruption. For ongoing maintenance, periodically inspect cords for wear, kinks, or loosening connections, and replace any compromised cables promptly to preserve system reliability.

Great new beginning
Format: Kindle
I didn't really care for the Krakoan era as a whole, and knowing how comics, especially the X-Men, go through cycles every few years, knew it wouldn't last. I'm especially glad to see the somewhat bland logos go and the classic ones return. I like this line up so far, especially the inclusion of the Juggernaut. I remember reading the comics years ago when he first switched sides, and was.disappointed when he went back to being bad. I haven't read the concluding chapters of the Krakoan era yet, so seeing a "classic" version of the Beast is a little surprising since the last time I saw him he had turned into an evil piece of %#@+. The story by Jed MacKay was interesting and entertaining, as I knew it would be. I've always enjoyed Ryan Stegman's art. Looking forward to more of this series and the other X-Men books, especially Uncanny X-Men.

More of the same
Format: Kindle
I haven’t read X-Men comics in years, but decided to dive back in as a supplement to all the Marvel Cinematic buzz. The plot seems like standard X-Men fare. The weakness of the comic medium, particularly for characters like the X-Men, is the holding pattern of the status quo that the characters are constantly suck in. I’m not sure if this series will deliver a clever twist on it yet. The dynamic they are setting up with the downtrodden Sentinel manufacturing town is interesting, as is the implicit aspiration of the X-Men to replenish the land itself. I am enjoying the team composition and the gorgeous art. They decided to crucify Wolverine again and it looked cool as ever. Juggernaut’s costume, too, is incredibly drawn.

Krakoa is gone, but a new era begins!
Format: Kindle
I was pleased to see this was not a reboot but a continuation in the aftermath of the Fall of the House of X. MacKay certainly started off this new run on the right foot, ending with intrigue and introducing potentially new big bads. Excited to throw my money at Marvel in the months to come.

FROM THE ASHES… ?
Format: Kindle
As a longtime comics enthusiast and certainly a faithful fan of Marvel’s mightiest man, there’s something left to be desired of the 70s into 80s era of X-MEN that marked its genius. Chris Claremont is legendary in his scope and his indelible style that helps make the X-Men something of flesh and bone that jumped off the page. Unfortunately that hasn’t been properly passed, and the torch hasn’t landed in the hands of creatives who can really capture that spirit. It’s hard to recognize any of these characters, or connect with their situation. This group of X-Men and their mission (whatever it is) are uninteresting, uninspired and lacking any authenticity. Interestingly written, the art has some textured, but the story isn’t engaging. I really wanted to like and support this “all-new, all-different” direction, but I can’t. This is not for me.
