Remove one of Universal Indicator strips from the pack, being careful not to touch the strip anywhere other than the plastic. Dip the strip into the solution you are testing for around 1-2 seconds and remove. The strip will then change colour, you should compare this colour against the pack's colour chart in order to give a pH reading.
