Intuitive models that can be built quickly are the goal of every development at Aero-naut. Due to the great demand for models that are still built from real kits, they designed the Luxx.
The model is made entirely of wood. All parts are laser cut and fit together precisely. The Luxx is aimed at model builders who want to experience real model making, but don't want to spend weeks building parts. A construction time of only a few evenings should be planned on until the model is fully covered and ready to fly.
The wings were developed using a profile that guarantees forgiving flight characteristics. Thermal sailing is quite possible with Luxx on an entry level scale. The structure is completely ribbed and is uses the proven Aero-naut wing jig system.
The removable canopy gives access to the motor and battery without having to remove the wing. Small motors in the 150W power class with a 2-3s LiPo are suitable as a drive. This will provide very good climb performance and a zippy feel. The model is ideal for youth development in clubs, schools and associations.
The kit contains all the laser-cut wooden parts for building the model, Aero-naut wing jig, pine spars, rudder linkages and pushrods and other various small parts.
The illustrated building instructions are excellent; but written in German. Fortunately there is an instruction manual written in English that can be downloaded HERE. Here is a sample of the instructions. Great for new builders!
The following parts are also required to complete the model: Covering film, electric motor, folding propeller and spinner, battery, RC components.
