Thinlits create dazzling detailed shapes for more creative cardmaking and papercrafting projects. These wafer-thin chemically-etched die sets are designed to cut, emboss or stencil a single sheet of cardstock, paper, metallic foil or vellum. They are simple to use, compact and portable for cutting at home or on the go. Use them for enhanced intricacy and to add a special touch of inspiration to all your projects.

The Thinlits dies in this set are compatible with the BIGkick, Big Shot and Vagabond machines.

To cut, the sandwich requires use of a pair of Cutting Pads and the machine's included Platform; when using the Essentials Platform or Solo Platform & Shim, the Extended Adapter or Solo Adapter is required. Because of their intricacy, Thinlits dies may require up to three passes to cut. If extra ejection is needed for easier separation of the die-cut from the design, place wax paper between the Thinlits die and your material and then cut.

These dies can also emboss when the machine's included Platform is combined with an Impressions Pad and Silicone Rubber sheet. The diagrams on the Platform offer easy guidelines about how to make the perfect Sizzix sandwich.

To stencil, place the die over desired material and apply ink or chalk to the die indentations. This technique can be used alone or to enhance embossed designs.

At first I thought this was a little expensive for a paper towel holder, but after using it for a few days, I completely understood the price. It’s very sturdy and honestly delightfully functional in a way that basic holders just aren’t. The spring-loaded arm works really well and actually allows easy one-handed tearing without the whole thing tipping or unraveling. A few things I liked: Weighted base keeps it firmly in place Non-slip bottom works well on countertops Spring arm holds the roll securely and makes tearing easier Stainless steel finish looks clean and modern Feels much sturdier and better made than cheaper versions A couple minor things: The arm is a little stiff at first, but loosened up slightly with use Larger/thicker rolls can fit tightly until some paper is used Overall, I think it’s a really good value for the money and performs exactly as advertised. One of those kitchen items that seems simple, but once you use a better-designed version, you definitely notice the difference.

This is the one!! The only paper towel holder I will ever have in my home.

I don’t usually get this excited about a paper towel holder... but THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I’VE BEEN LOOKING FOR!!!! Seriously. I’ve gone through so many flimsy, annoying holders that slide around, lift up, scrape the counter, or make that awful squeaking noise when you try to tear a sheet, and this one fixes every single one of those problems. The weighted base is EVERYTHING. It’s heavy enough that it doesn’t move at all when you pull a paper towel. No sliding. No tipping. No lifting. It just stays put like it’s supposed to. I give this SMARTAKE paper towel holder 4 stars. Overall, it's a very good product that I would recommend, but it has one minor drawback that takes away a star. The Positives Quality and Stability: The holder feels good quality, and the material (steel) is sturdy. Once placed on the counter, it's stable and adheres well to the surface. Assembly and Use: It was easy to put together; just read the instruction manual. I confirm that it works well even with large paper towel rolls. Furthermore, it's not difficult to change the roll at all. The Drawback The only problem is the small mechanism that's supposed to adjust and hold the roll (the piece that prevents it from twisting too much). As the paper gets used up, this piece doesn't do its job properly, and the paper unwinds more than it should. Conclusion: If you're looking for a modern, stable, and well-made holder for your kitchen, this is excellent. Just keep in mind that the adjuster isn't the best, but other than that, it does its job perfectly.
