Site: a dozen of various appellations especially rigorously selected by Joseph Drouhin are used for this wine.

History & tradition: the first plantings of Pinot Noir in Burgundy probably go back to 150 BC. Laforêt Bourgogne rouge, made 100% with this famous grape, is the archetype of red Burgundy for Joseph Drouhin.
In the 1970s, Robert Drouhin (Véronique's father) created « the Burgundy to unveil Burgundy ». His idea: the diversity of different terroirs and the elegance of the Drouhin style. He chose grapes from parcels situated near the top of the slopes, high up, close to the forest. He is a nature lover and so called his wine « Laforêt » (the forest in French). He then set out to conquer the market and fortune favoured him.
The name Laforêt is synonymous with quality. Joseph Drouhin takes great care in selecting the various cuvées.

A wine full of charm: bright ruby colour and a nose rich with aromas of red fruit (raspberry, red currants, wild strawberry). On the palate, the wine is pleasant, fruity and refreshing, with light tannins and great elegance.

Supply: this wine comes from grapes and musts purchased from supply partners according to rigorous specifications.

Harvest: grapes harvested by hands in open-work crates. If necessary, a careful sorting is proceeded.

Vinification: total destemming. 1 to 2 weeks of maceration and fermentation. Indigenous yeasts or yeasting. Vertical or pneumatic pressing.

Ageing: remains mixed with 15 to 20% of new oak barrels.
The ageing lasts between 10 to 14 months.

Throughout the ageing process, decisions are taken only after careful tasting evaluation. The data obtained is completed through technical analysis. As with every other Joseph Drouhin wine, absolute priority is given to the true expression of terroir and character of the vintage.

Accessible, fun, and exciting.
Format: Kindle
While this book is aimed at younger readers (it includes, for examples, expletives like "Zooks!" and "Zounds!"), I Escaped The Tower of London is a neat historical fiction novella with taught pacing that readers of all ages can enjoy. Using the real-life account of John Gerard as inspiration, the authors have created a young boy who escapes from the Tower of London while attempting to aid Princess Elizabeth during Queen Mary's reign. It's exciting, it fast-paced, and it even has a pleasant message about doing the right thing — even when the right thing is hard to do. It's packed with a hodgepodge of images (most of them public domain, but also a few original pieces) that add to the experience. And the end includes a brief lesson on the historical figures involved. Despite the source material, you shouldn't worry if you (or your young ones) are squeamish; the main character sidesteps the torture and there's very little violence. All in all, quite a good read. Very accessible, surprisingly fun and exciting.

wow!
Format: Kindle
What an amazing story that tells about history from the perspective of a kid named Ben that was pretty much forced (but was thankful for the work) to work with coal in the Tower of London, to find out Princess Elizabeth was arrested and sent to the same tower. The plot thickens as he helps her escape. He was met with many challenges, but his best friend Tim helped him always, what a faithful friend! I absolutely love and adore this story because it’s based on history and real life facts, these things actually happened! But when you read it, the author has written it so well it almost sounds like a fantasy! I can’t wait to read more, it’s such a great book, I give it 5 stars but really it deserves 10! Highly recommend!

Don't let this great middle grade book escape you.
Format: Paperback
I am an Anglophile and love the history of England. This book was an incredible read and fed my addiction fully with Renaissance England inspired history and fiction featuring Ben, a 15 year of commoner and an accidental hero who finds himself a prison let working the Tower’s dreadful jail. This spry has short chapters that will appeal to children with a short attention span, and the storyline like the other installment feature children using real life problem solving skills as they help others. This is an overall great read and highly recommended.
