The Mimbreño tableware collection made for and used by the El Tovar Lodge at the Grand Canyon is now available to the public! This restaurant quality dinnerware is made in Arizona and has a long story behind it.

Over a thousand years ago, the Mimbreño Indians created their pottery with intricate geometric designs and whimsical depictions of the wildlife and natural surroundings they cherished. Their artistry, filled with humor and creativity, brought to life unique images such as The March Hare in the Moon, The Bird with Four Fish Stuck in Its Neck, and animals decorated with elaborate patterns. Some of these striking designs were originally found on ancient Mimbreño bowls.

Centuries later, renowned architect and designer Mary Colter drew inspiration from Mimbreño artwork to create a distinctive china pattern for the Atchison, Topeka, and Santa Fe Railways elite Super Chief Two dining cars. Colter, best known for her architectural contributions to the Fred Harvey Company—including iconic Grand Canyon structures like the Hopi House, Hermit’s Rest, Lookout Studio, and Desert View Watchtower—crafted 37 unique Mimbreño-style drawings to adorn the dinnerware. Today, original Santa Fe Railway Mimbreño dinnerware is a prized collector’s item.

Mimbreño Fish in Neck Serving Bowl:

  • Sold individually. Many coordinating pieces are available in the Mimbreño collection.
  • Ancient Mimbreño Indian.
  • 8 1/4" x 2 7/8", 32 oz Mimbreño Serving Bowl.
  • Highly chip-resistant.
  • Every piece is lead free, cadmium free, dishwasher and microwave safe.
  • Oven proof, broiler and freezer safe.
  • Dinnerware can go from freezer to oven after it's been brought to room temperature.
  • A "clear coat" on top of each Mimbreño piece has been added. While guarding well against metal utensil marks, the clear coat may slightly scratch under heavy abrasion. We recommend putting a napkin, or spacer, underneath bowls and plates when nesting in order to keep the foot of one piece from scratching the top of another piece.
  • You can rest assured your dinnerware is the highest quality, most durable American made ceramic product available anywhere.

The MIMBREÑO mark is a licensed mark owned by BNSF Railway Company.

Among our Mimbreno clients, whether used for service or for resale, is La Posada Hotel, The El Tovar at the Grand Canyon, The Phoenician Resort (Scottsdale), and many fine galleries and shops throughout the US!

Hate the Price, but love the ink.
Style: Ink
I totally hate the price of printer ink, mostly when it dries out when not in constant use, but I purchased generic and my printer would not let me use it and i have avoided the firmware update. So back to buying epson ink. It worked the minute i loaded it into the printer. Epson ink is great. it was great color and quality. Just hate the price tag.

Pricey but they work
Style: Ink
Pricey but the remanufactured ones either don't work at all, or they work for a short time then go belly up...

Run out of ink quickly
Style: Ink
When you have the Epson work Workforce Pro 3820 it only accepts Epson cartridges none of the cheaper ones Epson cartridges run out of ink really fast I actually had some of the non-epson brand cartridges in there they worked a couple of times but then one day they absolutely refuse to work so they're worthless and then I had to actually buy the Epson brand name

Good value!
Style: Ink
Received in a timely manner. Installed with ease. Only printed a few pages but all is good so far. Price is more than I would like but very competitive and attractive compared to local office supply stores.
