6g Citrulline. 3.2g Beta-Alanine. Fully Transparent Performance.

NutraBio Base Pre-Workout lives up to its name—it's a solid, no-nonsense pre built on real doses of key ingredients that actually help. No weird extras or hidden stuff here. It's all about better blood flow, lasting endurance, sharp focus when you're tired, good cell hydration, and just enough stim to get you going without overdoing it.

The star is 6g L-citrulline, right in the sweet spot from studies—6-8g. Citrulline beats straight arginine because it skips the gut breakdown and turns into arginine in your kidneys, boosting nitric oxide. Nitric oxide is what widens blood vessels for better flow. In the gym, that means fuller pumps, more nutrients to your muscles, and keeping up your work longer. It also helps clear out waste like ammonia.

You get 3.2g beta-alanine, the standard dose from research for daily use. It doesn't give instant energy—it's about building carnosine in muscles over time. Carnosine fights acid buildup during intense reps, so you don't burn out as quick. First day, you might feel that tingly sensation. After a couple weeks, you'll notice you can handle more reps without the early fatigue.

2.5g betaine anhydrous is a smart add at a dose that shows up in studies for better power, more reps, and performance. As an osmolyte—it helps cells hold water—and methyl donor, it keeps you going under stress. It gives this pre a real edge for strength, not just hype.

NutraBio Base Pre by NutraBio contains 150mcg Vitamin B12, a effective dose for training performance and pump.

Key Highlights

  • 6,000mg L-Citrulline — this is a full, effective dose that delivers. It turns into arginine to boost nitric oxide, widening blood vessels for better flow and the kind of pump you actually feel, way better than those skimpy 3g versions.
  • 3,200mg Beta-Alanine — the go-to daily amount to load up muscle carnosine. That helps fight the acid burn during tough sets, letting you squeeze out more reps before calling it quits.
  • 2,500mg Betaine Anhydrous — a researched dose that boosts power, helps with hydration inside cells, and improves overall training. This makes the pre legit for performance, not just a quick buzz.
  • 1,500mg L-Tyrosine — a solid amount to keep your focus strong under pressure. It's a building block for dopamine and norepinephrine, so you stay mentally in the game when sets get heavy.
  • 200mg Caffeine Anhydrous USP — enough to get you fired up and alert without going overboard. Perfect if you want real workout energy without building up tolerance fast.
  • 1,000mg Taurine — a good dose for balancing fluids, supporting muscle work, and making the stim feel smoother. It pairs great with caffeine and salts for a more even energy vibe.
  • 50mg AstraGin® — the standard dose of this NuLiv Science ingredient to help your gut absorb the aminos and actives better, so you get more out of every scoop.
  • Electrolyte support from sodium, chloride, and Himalayan pink salt — not a ton, but enough to help with fluid balance and keep your muscles firing right during sweaty sessions.

Who Is This For?

  • Intermediate lifters on push/pull/legs or upper/lower who need more than caffeine. 6g citrulline and 2.5g betaine boost pumps and volume, 200mg caffeine energizes without messing connection.
  • Afternoon or evening trainers wanting moderate stims over heavy hits. 200mg caffeine plus 1.5g tyrosine gives clean focus, with flow and endurance covered solid.
  • Newbies after a real first pre, not overloaded. Label's clear, ingredients are proven, 200mg caffeine is noticeable but easy for most adults.
  • Strength-muscle builders in volume phases needing fatigue help. 3.2g beta-alanine loads carnosine for buffering, 2.5g betaine adds power.
  • Folks tired of hidden blends wanting real doses. Full disclosure with 6g citrulline and 3.2g beta-alanine, no fancy covers.
  • Users who hate mega-stims but want effect. Taurine, tyrosine, moderate caffeine make it smooth, not jittery.

How to Use

Mix 1 scoop in 10-16 oz water 20-30 minutes pre-training. Caffeine hits quick, others are ready by sets. Stim-sensitive? Start half scoop—200mg is moderate but check your vibe.

Use a shaker for good mix—this has big amino doses, not tiny powder. Cold water tastes better. Empty stomach speeds it up, full meal slows it. Stack with coffee or burners? Track total caffeine to avoid overload.

Pairs awesome with creatine and intra hydration. No need to cycle for safety on most ingredients, but some pause for caffeine tolerance. Keep it sealed, cool, dry—no moisture in the tub.

What to Expect

Minutes 0-10: you mix and down a simple pre, easy on the stomach with enough water. Minutes 10-20: caffeine brings a clean alert feel, beta-alanine might tingle your skin. Minutes 20-40: prime time to train—focus and drive are up, citrulline adds that vascular pump.

Minutes 40-90: it stays steady, no wild spikes like high-stim stuff. Days 1-7: you notice pump, energy, focus right away, beta-alanine loading. Weeks 2-4: carnosine builds from daily 3.2g, endurance shines in repeated efforts. Consistent use turns it into a session booster, not just a buzz.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much caffeine is in NutraBio Base Pre-Workout?

Each full 1-scoop serving provides 200mg of caffeine anhydrous USP. That places it firmly in the moderate-stim category: enough for a clear increase in energy and focus, but much more manageable than the 300-400mg formulas dominating the high-stim market.

Is 6g of L-citrulline a real clinical dose?

Yes. The research-backed range for L-citrulline is typically 6-8g, and NutraBio provides the full 6g threshold rather than the more common underdosed 3-4g seen in many mainstream pre-workouts. That matters because citrulline drives nitric oxide production and blood flow in a dose-dependent way.

Why does this product make my skin tingle?

That sensation comes from the 3.2g beta-alanine dose. It is called paresthesia and is a common, harmless side effect of beta-alanine supplementation; it is not an allergy and does not mean the product is too strong. The long-term benefit of beta-alanine is improved carnosine loading, not the tingling itself.

Do I need to take NutraBio Base Pre-Workout every day or only on training days?

For the acute ingredients like caffeine, citrulline, and tyrosine, you mainly benefit when you take it before training. However, beta-alanine works best with consistent daily intake because muscle carnosine builds over time, so regular use helps you get the full endurance benefit.

Does this pre-workout contain creatine?

No, this formula does not include creatine. That keeps the profile cleaner and leaves room for users to add a full standalone creatine monohydrate dose, which is often the better strategy if you want daily saturation without tying it only to pre-workout timing.

What does AstraGin® do in this formula?

AstraGin® is a trademarked absorption ingredient from NuLiv Science included at 50mg. It is designed to support nutrient uptake by increasing the expression of transporters in the gut, which can help amino acids and other actives in the formula absorb more efficiently.

Is NutraBio Base Pre-Workout good for beginners?

Yes, for many beginners it is a strong first pre-workout because the formula is transparent and the stimulant dose is moderate. Starting with half a scoop is still smart if you have never used caffeine-containing workout supplements before.

Can I stack this with coffee or an energy drink?

You can, but you need to count total caffeine carefully. Since one scoop already provides 200mg caffeine, adding coffee or another stim product can quickly push the total into a range that causes jitters, elevated heart rate, or sleep disruption.

How long before my workout should I take it?

Take it about 20-30 minutes before training. That window fits the caffeine absorption curve well and gives citrulline, tyrosine, taurine, and betaine time to be in your system before your first challenging sets.

Is this a pump pre-workout or an energy pre-workout?

It is both, but in a balanced way. The 6g citrulline gives it a legitimate pump and blood-flow foundation, while 200mg caffeine plus 1.5g tyrosine delivers a noticeable energy and focus effect without turning it into a pure stimulant formula.

Great Multi-Function Watch
Color: Gray/Digital/Gray
I absolutely love my Timex Ironman watches. I have had many over a very long period of time. Wonderful set of functions for the price. Very affordable. Easy to use. Lasts a long time. Very easy to read in standard lighting. I like the Indiglo when needed, but do not use it too often. Absolutely love the ability to set a repeat timer to remind me to do something at a fixed interval, or to keep me on task for a fixed period of time. Great to be able to set three independent alarms. Potential to capture a huge number of splits with the stopwatch. I purchased this watch to replace a similar model with a dead battery. I have replaced batteries in the past, but it is quicker and easier to buy a replacement watch. I am saving my old watches for that day in the future when the Ironman model may no longer be available. I expect this will be my watch of choice for the rest of my life.

Just fine if you have simple needs...
Color: Black/Digital/Black/Green
Exactly what I needed: a cheap, durable wrist watch. The only thing it was lacking were instructions, but about 5 minutes of messing with the buttons got it set up

Compared to g-shock?
Color: Black/Yellow
Firstly random public reviews can be comical…”it’s has a battery, terrible, One star” or “I don’t like yellow, one star” omg peoples do better. I’ll review this while comparing to an older style of g-shock from the same era. I’ll start by saying this timex rocks, for me in my mid 50’s it’s so retro and nastalgic, brings back memories, I may have even owned this model back in the day. What’s great about it- the display, larger digits than the typical g-shock and they are super crisp, clear and easy to read. The indiglo is awesome. This is the most accurate quartz watch I have aside from the atomic g-shocks that adjust themselves daily. I prefer a chunky watch and the g-shocks do a better job in that department. i feel this watch is rugged, but I’d still give the nod to g-shock in this department. 200M water resistance is the gold standard and this watch has it which I love for peace of mind for any water based activities. This is a 5 star watch at a great price. I still love some aspects of a g-shock better but its just preference.

Everybody loved the high-tech style and amazing functionality
Color: Black/Yellow
I'm not a Timex fanboy, and I've had my fair share of problems with the Expedition line, so this review is my honest opinion as a man who's worn Armitrons and Timexes since I was 10. I remember in 1992 when the Timex Ironman Triathlon with Indiglo was first launched - My older brother got one, then me and my neighbor friends. Everybody loved the high-tech style and amazing functionality. Even Bill Clinton was rock'n this watch, for those who don't remember. Quite simply, this is the perfect watch at a great price, in my opinion. Perfect as a gift for any man, and I think the original black/olive drab/yellow coloration is still the coolest. In this day and age of smartphones, it still pays to have this watch. The alarm is less annoying sounding than a cellphone, and doesn't wake up the entire house. To turn it off, just tap the watch, no more reaching for the phone or alarm clock. Timer comes in handy for anything; timing my kids' timeouts when they get in trouble, 15 minutes room clean-up times, etc. Chrono is fun for anything you wanna use a stop-watch for. I set the second time zone for Vietnam time. It really is a million times easier to use this watch for all of its functions than reaching for a smartphone or alarm clock, etc. If you;ve been relying on your phone for a few years as a watch/chronograph/timer/alarm - you'll be so glad you finally got a watch like this. I've never tried a smart-watch, however I feel those are not as necessary, durable or practical as a real watch. Other Timex watches I've used were freakin' trash - couldn't throw em away fast enough. Might as well open the box while holding it over a trash can, so the watch can fall right in when you open the box. That's my experience with the Expedition line-up. Back to this watch: The only thing I wish this watch could do is measure activity thermogenesis (calories expended throught the day) or work as a pedometer, which some smart-watches and other devices can do. I also cannott decide if I like this new, slightly larger, heavier/thicker design of the Ironman Triathlon over the 1990s design. The 90s models styling was "tight to death'. Star-split buttons were seperated. The mode button was yellow. Overall more compact and bi-cultural;by that I mean it looked great as an athletic watch or a politician, business man wathc. This new model is bigger, better ingress/shock resistance, and more of an athletic style over all, and is a little less colorful. I almost went with the G-shocks, but they still just look like crap and are waay to expensive. Sure, they have some better features, can survive WWIII, but I am a traveler. I need a watch that can work in the dark in any environment. The G-shocks are often using some kind of solar battery crap and rely on cathing a signal from an American automic clock in Colorado - good luck with that while your in Thailand on vacation.
