In 1980 the BF-2 was released to replace the BF-1. It was such a popular pedal, it was produced from 1980 till 2001. Reverb describe the BF-2 as "an effect-defining pedal that gave shape to the whirling, shifting sound of '80s riffs and sky-high leads."

This model was built in Japan. It has the black MIJ label and was made in September, 1980. This is a very early model, which features the silver thumb screw. The serial number is 9800. It is printed in black above the boss logo in the battery compartment.

This is a used unit.
This is an early model, built in Japan in 1980. It shows some general signs of use and age like scratches and marks. However, overall it is still a nice piece for a 43 year old guitar pedal. Please see all photos for further details.
This unit is 100% functional. All controls work as they should.
This unit can power off a 9V battery or 9V negative centre power supply on its own. A power supply will be included for Australian buyers only.
