This is a really cool MIDI compatible vintage analog synth. You can play it polyphonically (6 notes at once), put it in stack mode where you can allocate a separate sound to each of 6 positions or use it multitimbrally - 6 separate voices at once played monophonically on separate MIDI channels. It's an analog synth workstation! It's got an arpeggiator and on board sequencer as well. The 6-trak is capable of creating lots of great analog synth sounds. From fat basses to spacey blips to warm strings and funky leads to whatever your dirty little analog mind can dream up. Unlike many older Sequential models, this one has MIDI. Sequential designed it so that each sound parameter can be controlled by MIDI continuous controller numbers. What this means is that most MIDI knob boxes can be used to edit the sounds with ease, and you can record this data or program it into your sequencer for automated parameter tweaking. This is something most vintage synths won't do. Its major selling points are the stack feature and MIDI CC control, which make it an extremely useful synth. The 6 Track has a good set of features, solid sounds, small package and a nice price.
