And, although the name would imply that a fever may result, this is actually quite uncommon. However, a slight temperature increase may occur due to inflammation caused by the overreaction of the immune system.
Mountain cedars grow mostly in Central Texas. However, the pollen can travel for hundreds of miles, so you don’t necessarily have to have cedar trees on, or even near, your property to be affected by Texas cedar fever.
