Victron GX IO-Extender 150: Advanced I/O Expansion for GX Devices

Enhance System Automation with USB-Powered Digital and Relay Control

The Victron GX IO-Extender 150 is a compact, USB-powered expansion module that significantly increases the input/output capabilities of Victron GX devices such as the Cerbo GX. It provides flexible digital I/O, PWM outputs, latching relays, and a solid-state relay, enabling precise control and monitoring in off-grid, marine, RV, and industrial energy systems. With Node-RED integration, users can create custom automation routines for smarter energy management.

Flexible Digital I/O Configuration

Eight isolated digital I/O channels can be configured as inputs, outputs, or a combination of both, with LED status indication for quick diagnostics. Inputs accept 3.8–5.5 V signals, while outputs provide 5 V at up to 4 mA, suitable for interfacing with sensors, contactors, or logic-level devices. This flexibility allows the module to adapt to diverse control requirements without additional hardware.

Precise PWM and Relay Control

Four PWM output channels deliver 5 V signals with 8-bit precision at 1.5625 kHz, ideal for dimming lights or controlling motor speed. Two bi-stable latching relays offer efficient low-power switching for DC and AC loads, with ratings up to 3 A at 30 VDC and 0.5 A at 250 VAC. A galvanically isolated solid-state relay (SSR) handles DC loads up to 70 V and 4 A, supporting inductive and capacitive loads for battery management and heavy-duty switching.

Seamless Integration and Automation

Powered directly via USB, the GX IO-Extender 150 requires no external power supply, simplifying installation. It integrates natively with Victron's GX ecosystem and supports Node-RED for advanced, user-defined automation. Monitor and control all I/O points through the GX user interface, enabling real-time adjustments and system optimisation.

Compact, Durable Design for Harsh Environments

Measuring 123 x 67 x 23 mm and weighing 0.17 kg, the module fits easily into tight spaces. It supports wall or DIN-rail mounting with secure spring terminals. The operating temperature range of -20 °C to +50 °C ensures reliable performance in challenging off-grid, marine, and industrial settings.

Key Features

  • 8 configurable digital I/Os with LED indicators, isolated from USB
  • 4 PWM outputs (5 V, 8-bit, 1.5625 kHz) for dimming or motor control
  • 2 bi-stable latching relays for low-power switching of DC/AC loads
  • Solid-state relay for DC loads up to 70 V, 4 A, with inductive/capacitive support
  • USB-powered with Node-RED integration for custom automation
  • Wall or DIN-rail mounting with spring terminals for secure installation

Ideal Applications

This module is suited for expanding control in Victron-based systems, including battery bank switching, generator start/stop, tank level monitoring, lighting control, and ventilation management. It is particularly valuable in caravans, RVs, marine vessels, off-grid cabins, and industrial setups where space and power efficiency are critical.

Take Control of Your Energy System

Add the Victron GX IO-Extender 150 to your GX device today and unlock advanced automation and monitoring capabilities for a more intelligent and responsive power system.

delightful read
Format: Kindle
What a delightful read. The characters are awesome, the plot was so good, I loved it. I was intrigued and it kept me wanting more. Told in multiple pov, the book sucks you in and doesn’t let go. I cannot wait to read the next book.

not bad
Format: Kindle
I loved the plot of this book. The characters just didn’t have a lot of depth. The connections and “love” just weren’t communicated very well in the writing. The author didn’t write the sweet psycho trope very well at all either. Lachlan was just a mess of a character.

A Beta Worth Rooting For
Format: Kindle
In Spare, Violet Fox flips the omegaverse on its head, giving us a Beta heroine determined to make her mark. Joining the Beta Trials to support her sick father, she's thrown into a pack that doesn't want her, especially the possessive Alphas. But here's the twist: their sweet Omega turns out to be her scent match. Cue the angst, forbidden tension, and a slow-burn romance that will make your heart ache in the best way. Violet Fox delivers an emotional, refreshing take on the genre, proving Betas aren't "spares." They're stars.

Beta, Alpha, Omega oh my!
Format: Kindle
Omegas are precious and given to Alphas & their packs... but the Betas want in too. To this end, the Beta government is rolling out its trial of assigning a Beta to each Alpha-Omega pack. But forcing a Beta into a pack where they are not wanted will not end well... Of course, no one expected the Omega to fall for the assigned Beta. Great read and cliffhanger

A familiar story, just with…..less.
Format: Kindle
So, as other reviewers make clear, this is very similar to Pack Darling and The Beta. It’s much closer aligned with The Beta, in plot and maybe more like Pack Darling with characters. That being said, I don’t hate this…..but it wasn’t great either. It’s both books mentioned but just….less. Less angst, less emotion, less feeling. The plot feels very half fleshed out, and the “bad guy” feels underwhelming. I didn’t really feel any real emotions from and of the male leads, except maybe Oliver. The others fell sorta flat for me. And Mika makes herself out to be this big bad ass straight outta training and then we never see it from here again with the one fitting room incident as the exception. SPOILER: The whole, “Oh, I’m actually probably an Omega, but I don’t wanna be but I do actually wanna be but no one can ever know my secret that I do nothing to hide “ thing fell so flat. She never commutes to believing she was secretly an omega, but also mentions her “secret” a lot. It just felt so manufactured. I’m intrigued enough to read part 2 and see how the author closes everything out, but this is not one I’ll recommend or ever come back to.
