If you need to secure objects to plasterboard ceilings or walls, our 10mm x 100mm spring toggles provide excellent performance. These fixings are pre-assembled with a heavy-duty, zinc-plated screw, making them ideal for handling greater loads while evenly distributing weight. How do spring toggles work?
Using our spring toggles is simple and effective. After drilling the necessary hole in the plasterboard, the metal toggle is flattened and inserted. Once inside, the toggle springs open and locks into place on the reverse side of the plasterboard. As you tighten the screw, the wings pull tightly against the plasterboard, distributing the weight evenly across the surface.
Remember, before inserting the toggle into the hole, you'll need to detach the spring part from the machine screw. This allows you to pass the screw through the item you’re attaching, like a shelf or bracket, before reassembling the toggle and inserting it into the wall.
