Hawke Sports Optics' green 10x42 Nature-Trek Binoculars feature silver-coated BAK4 roof prisms and anti-reflection fully multi-coated optics to produce a versatile and capable optic that produces bright and clear images with accurate colour rendition. Coupled with the optical features are 42mm diameter objectives that give the binoculars very competent low-light performance, while keeping the magnification at a modest 8x helps to limit most visible hand-shake and allows for a wider field of view versus higher-power binoculars. The combination of power, optics, and objectives make the Nature-Trek ideally suited for most outdoor activities from hunting, to birding, to boating and sporting events.

Complementing the optical performance are construction details that make the binoculars durable and comfortable to use. These details start with a lightweight, impact and corrosion-resistant polycarbonate chassis that is protected by green rubberized armour. This armouring is textured to give them a nonslip grip especially in cold and wet conditions. The optical tubes are nitrogen-filled and O-ring sealed to be water and fogproof, especially in extreme weather conditions. A right-eye diopter adjustment allows the binoculars to be customized to most people's needs, and its twist-up eyecups mean they can be comfortably used with or without eye wear.
