1,600mg Cissus extract to help your joints and connective tissues

USP Labs Super Cissus keeps it simple with just one ingredient: 1,600mg of Cissus quadrangularis stem extract in every 2-capsule serving. That's the whole plan here. It's not a big joint mix trying to hit everything with tiny bits of glucosamine, MSM, turmeric, collagen, and hyaluronic acid. This is all about giving you a real dose of cissus if that's what you're after for your active life.

Cissus quadrangularis is a vine that's been used traditionally for bone and connective tissue help. In supplements today, it's popular for easing joint aches, building training toughness, and recovering from all that repeated stress. How it works? It seems to balance inflammation, tweak markers tied to tissue wear, and support repair around tendons, ligaments, and bones. Some studies and tons of athlete stories point to better comfort and movement in beat-up joints. That's why lifters love it for dealing with heavy lifts, squats, and years of training buildup.

That 1,600mg dose is no joke. Lots of cissus products skimp or hide the details. Studies and real use show benefits even at lower doses based on how strong the extract is, so 1,600mg straight up makes this a heavy hitter. It's all about cissus here. The downside? The label doesn't spell out the exact standardization of the active parts. We know it's a big dose, but we can't compare it perfectly to the super-precise extracts in research. That is an

Key Highlights

  • 1,600mg Cissus quadrangularis extract per serving — this is a real dose you can count on, not just a tiny bit hidden in a mix. It's all about one classic sports nutrition ingredient that helps with joint ease, connective tissue support, and sticking with your training.
  • Just one ingredient — every dose focuses on cissus instead of spreading thin over a bunch of stuff. Makes it easy to try, stack, and trust when you need help for a specific issue.
  • 2 capsules per serving — simple to take every day. No powders to mix or drinks to chug for a solid hit of the good stuff.
  • No hidden blends — the full 1,600mg dose is right there on the label. In a world of vague mixes, this transparency is huge.
  • Aimed at your body's structure, not quick energy — Super Cissus tackles the joint and tendon side of training stress without covering it up with stims. Perfect if your joints or tendons are what's slowing your recovery, not your energy.
  • Big with strength folks — cissus has been a go-to for lifters handling elbow, shoulder, knee, and wrist nags. It's popular because it fits that exact spot: keeping you lifting when connective tissues are the issue.
  • Works for all kinds of training — whether you're bodybuilding, powerlifting, fighting, or running endurance, repeated stress hits everyone. This simple setup works across the board since the problem is the same.
  • No stims at all — zero caffeine, yohimbine, or anything that revs you up. Take it with your pre-workout, later in the day, or all year without worrying about tolerance.

USP Super Cissus Caps by USP Labs contains 1600mg Cissus Quadrangularis Extract (Stem), a clinical dose for health and performance.

Who Is This For?

  • Lifters in big volume phases where elbows, shoulders, or knees complain before muscles quit. 1,600mg of Cissus quadrangularis gives targeted help without a bunch of weak extras.
  • Powerlifters and strength guys with years of barbell wear. Heavy squats, benching, deads can irritate joints long-term, and cissus helps keep training going when that's the weak spot.
  • Fighters in wrestling, jiu-jitsu, MMA, or boxing with constant impacts, grips, and strains. Super Cissus is easy—capsules, no stims, stacks with hydration, protein, recovery stuff.
  • Runners and team sport players handling repeat stress on ankles, knees, hips, legs. It's about keeping comfort so you can log miles or practices without breaking down.
  • Active folks over 35 training hard but recovering slower than in their 20s. They don't need more pre-workout energy—just help staying comfy to push consistently, and cissus fits that.
  • People getting back after joint nags paused their training. A pure cissus option lets them test it solo without guessing what's working in a multi-ingredient mix.

How to Use

Take 2 capsules with water daily for your full serving. Since Super Cissus builds support over time, not like a quick caffeine hit, you don't need to time it right before workouts. With a meal works for a lot of people to remember it, or just pick a daily spot. No stims, so no need to ease in for tolerance, but if you're careful, start with 1 capsule a few days to check stomach feel. Capsules mean no mixing hassle. It goes well with collagen, fish oil, creatine, protein, or even another joint supp for more coverage. No need to cycle like high-stim stuff; just keep it consistent. Store cool and dry, cap tight to keep capsules fresh.

What to Expect

First 0-30 minutes: not much to feel, since it's no stim or pump product. No energy kick or quick boost. Days 1-7: mostly just easy to take with 2 capsules, but some notice less everyday irritation early. Weeks 2-4: here's where it shines—training feels easier, less held back by joint nags. Over time, you handle sessions better and tweak moves less around sore spots. Judge this by how your training holds up long-term, not right after taking it.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the active ingredient in USP Labs Super Cissus?

The formula contains one active ingredient: 1,600mg of Cissus quadrangularis stem extract per 2-capsule serving. That makes it a focused single-ingredient joint and connective-tissue support product rather than a blended joint complex.

How much Cissus quadrangularis is in each serving?

Each full serving provides 1,600mg of Cissus quadrangularis extract from the stem. With 150 capsules per bottle and a serving size of 2 capsules, you get 75 servings total.

Is Super Cissus a pre-workout or something you feel right away?

No. This product is stim-free and not designed for acute sensations like energy, focus, or pump. Its value shows up over consistent daily use as training feels less limited by joint or connective-tissue irritation.

When should I take Super Cissus?

Take 2 capsules daily at a time you can stay consistent with. Because cissus is not an acute performance ingredient, exact pre-workout timing is much less important than taking it every day for several weeks.

Can I stack Super Cissus with creatine or pre-workout?

Yes. Super Cissus contains no stimulants and no overlapping performance ingredients, so it stacks cleanly with creatine, collagen, fish oil, protein, and your regular pre-workout.

How long should I use Super Cissus before judging results?

Give it at least 2-4 weeks of uninterrupted daily use. Cissus is typically assessed by how your joints and connective tissues tolerate ongoing training over time, not by any immediate effect on the day you start.

Is the label fully transparent?

Yes in the sense that the active ingredient and total dose are disclosed: 1,600mg of Cissus quadrangularis extract per serving with no proprietary blend. The one detail not specified on the verified panel is the exact extract standardization percentage.

Does Super Cissus contain caffeine or stimulants?

No. Despite a metadata mismatch in some systems, the verified formula shows only Cissus quadrangularis extract and no stimulant actives. It is a stim-free support product.

Is Super Cissus enough on its own for full joint support?

It depends on your goal. If you specifically want cissus, this is a meaningful standalone formula; if you want a broader joint stack, you may also want collagen, omega-3s, curcumin, MSM, or other supportive nutrients alongside it.

Is this suitable for vegetarians?

No, not strictly. The capsules contain gelatin, so this product is not suitable for users avoiding animal-derived capsule materials.

IMMEDIATE REACTION, PLUS FOLLOW UP AFTER A WEEK!
Style: For Him
**Package arrived LITERALLY 5 minutes ago, here is my immediate initial reaction, and then I'll actually post this after USING the soap and getting a better feel for the product.** Keeping in mind that smell is subjective, here are my knee jerk thoughts on the bars of soap: - Firstly, I can smell the soap through the bag (and box). Whatever scent this is, it's POTENT. - Opening the box, the bars of soap look a LITTLE small. Not egregiously so, but a little bit smaller than your average bar of soap; BUT I check them against a new bar of Dove soap that I have, and they are identical. The eyes are playing tricks on you with these. - Here is the breakdown of the 6 scents - Activated Charcoal. This is what I was HOPING would smell like the "Pine Tar" that other companies (like Dr. Squatch, which I've never used, btw) have, but it is the "soap-est" smelling soap, with a hint of tar. It smells a little bit like a can of new paint. - Tango Mango. IMHO, the best smelling of the 6, with strong citrus smells. Very lemon-y, but pleasant. - Eucamint. Ahhh, here's what was permiating out of the box. This smell is STRONG, with an AGGRESSIVE mint smell. Like, Ben Gay mint. And as strong to boot. It doesn't smell BAD, but it's hands down the strongest scent. - Oatmeal Shea. Meh. Kinda smells like an old coat that would be hanging in your grandfathers closet. It's not a BAD smell, but it has this weird odor to it, like when you leave a can of peanuts in your cupboard for a long time, and then go back and smell it. - Patchouli Lime. This one kind of smells like a mixture of Activated Charcoal, Eucamint and Oatmeal Shea. It smells like a room that you just painted a day or two ago, and it definitely has the Ben Gay after aroma lingering. - Apline Spice. This smells like a box. Like find an empty cardboard box, open it, and take a whiff. Boom, Alpine Spice. My least favorite. I will say, none of them STINK; as in there isn't a smell that I'm like, "ewww, I don't want to smell like AT ALL!" Which sounds weird, because I described some of them as "paint," "an old coat," and "a cardboard box," but I feel that those are just very passive smells, not aggressively bad ones. If there is a problem soap, I would assume it's going to be Eucamint, because it might just be too overpowering, although I've found that the more you smell them, they seem to mellow out. I imagine that after a shower with these, the smell will dissipate enough that it will be more mild. Still, with the exception of Tango Mango; a very good smelling soap mind you, I'd say they are all very "manly" scents, and I'm excited to try them out. Ok, so I'm a little over a week in, and here's my final take. (I made it through Activated Charcoal and Tango Mango): First, the scents ABSOLUTELY mellow out when used to actually shower with them. My wife, who admittedly isn't really up on me like that, hasn't even mentioned me smelling differently than the last 11 years. So, if she's even noticed, it's not on a level to make a fuss about. This is important because fresh from the box, these things have some powerful scents, but they are definitely tamed by washing with them. The bars last ABOUT 7 showers. Obviously, your mileage will vary based on how long you're in the shower, how much you scrub, how you store them, etc, but I was able to get 7 GOOD showers out of these. I have them in these natural sisal (whatever that is) exfoliating bags that help lather and store the soap, and really did some good scrubbing in my showers. The bars lather decently, but I'm not sure how much the bag helps with that. If you are a once a day showerer, a bar a week is a very fair approximation of what you'll get. I definitely felt.....SOMETHING I didn't before with my shower gel showers. I don't know if that's the moisturizing, or the exfoliation, but my skin felt a little different after showering. A decent buy. I'm not thrilled, but I'm not upset either. I don't think it changed my life, or even the way I shower, but I'm not mad at the experiment. I may try the Dr. Squatch soaps to see how all these stack up.

Convinced to make the switch
Style: Citrus
Love this soap. I was using Jukebox, but I'm making the switch. Crate 61 feels better on my skin, the bars last a little longer and the 6 pack is $15 cheaper than I was paying for 6 bars with the Jukebox subscription. I get extremely dirty at my job so I tend to go through soap faster than the average women. Jukebox bars would last me about 4 days. These will last 6 or 7 days. Jukebox bars were a definite upgrade from body wash, but it would irritate the sensitive areas. I don't have that issue with this soap. Jukebox bars smell nice in the shower, but I feel like the scent didn't last beyond that. Crate 61 leaves a pleasantly subtle smell on my skin after showering. The only benefit with Jukebox is that you can choose the individual soaps in your 6 pack, rather than selecting one of the collections.

Groundbreaking Work!
Format: Hardcover
The first thing to note here is the author is trilingual. He's Polish by birth, writing very credibly in his second language (English), and using his Nihongo to translate Japanese source materials into English for the first time. Wow! As a historian myself, I only wish I had those kind of language skills. The second thing I'll say is that I learned a lot from the book. I've never seen many of the details the author had dug up. He's doing the same sort of thing that Tony Tully and I did in Shattered Sword--using the Japanese air group records, and Senshi Sosho, as well as more modern sources from Japanese historians like Mori Shiro--to paint a much richer picture of the Japanese side of the battle. And in some ways he's doing it better, because his language skills are so formidable that he was able to look at more Japanese source material than we were. Bravo Zulu. An example: for years American historians have portrayed the placement of Shoho in front of the Japanese invasion force as either 1) a bait force to lure the Americans away from Japan's main carrier force, or 2) at the very least an indication of extreme Japanese hubris, by sticking a lone light carrier's neck out waaaay too far. It turns out that there were a number of Japanese staff officers that were appalled at the dangers Shoho was being exposed to, and lobbied for her inclusion in the main carrier force instead (which would have made a lot more sense, frankly, and was a detail I hadn't known before.) But those officers were overridden in the name of keeping at least some air cover near the invasion force. What this demonstrates is that even here, at the very beginning of the war, the Japanese were already over their skis in terms of the fragility of their air power. All in all, Piegzik's book is a very welcome contribution to the English literature on the Pacific War. He has also written what is (from all accounts) a fine series on the Indian Ocean raid that I need to pick up as well. I am really looking forward to his continued publications in the field.

An excellent book
Format: Hardcover
An excellent book, based on Japanese documents—offering, for the first time, such a detailed account of the first aircraft carrier battle, presented from the Japanese perspective. It covers every Japanese aircraft involved, as well as the fates of their naval aircrews. A must-read for anyone interested in World War II in the Pacific.
