This darling antique brooch captures something truly special. This is not just a beautiful piece of jewellery, but a heartfelt tribute to the bond between people and their beloved dogs. At its centre lies a miniature Essex crystal, lovingly revers carved and hand painted to depict a faithful little dog in exquisite detail. We believe he is a wire fox terrier who has been set against a mother of pearl backing giving them an ethereal glow.

There has been some wear and water ingress over the lifetime, however this does nothing to take away from the charm and character it shows. Their little smile looking back through.

The image is so lifelike, it feels as if the dog might leap out of the crystal. This is a testament to the extraordinary craftsmanship behind this rare technique. Set in a simple yet elegant 9ct gold mount, the brooch has a timeless warmth that speaks of both sentiment and style.

A little history:

Essex crystal jewellery became popular during the Victorian era, when pieces like this were often worn as tokens of affection and remembrance. Each crystal was carved from behind and then delicately painted, creating a three-dimensional look that brings the subject to life. These tiny works of art were often custom made to depict a beloved pet, making every piece unique and deeply personal.

This particular brooch is a beautiful example. It's full of character, emotion, and old world charm. Whether you're a collector of antique jewellery, a dog lover, or simply someone drawn to pieces with soul and story, this brooch is sure to speak to the heart.

A wearable love letter from the past.

Fun ball for my big Golden Retriever!'
Color: Orange, Color: Orange
It's big and has some weight to it in comparison with ither balls that hardly weigh anything. My 4 year old Golden Retriever can get his jaws around it only just! The squeaky is tough to get squeaking especially if you have a smaller dog. My dog is about 100 lbs and can just barely bite it hard enough to make it squeak. Very cute toy and I pretty sure this is going to last him a long time because it really seems very durable! He loves it!

Durable and tough
Color: Red
Very durable and squeaker is still intact which doesn’t happen often with my mastiff mix. Definitely one of his favorite toys.

Chew toy
Color: Red
It’s a great chew toy for dogs and definitely keeps them entertained for hours however, it’s not durable enough for really strong chewers. I have two pitbull puppies and in five days he tore the end off of it. I do recommend for medium sized dogs.
