Vivid, orderly, and deeply satisfying in repetition, this hand-knotted vintage Gul runner showcases one of the most beloved traditional Persian runner formats, delivering consistency of pattern and strength of color across an elongated silhouette—perfect for U.S. searches like “hallway runner rug,” “vintage runner,” and “Persian-style runner.” The deep burnt-rust field is covered edge-to-edge with a regimented diagonal repeat of small Gul floral devices in ivory and dark brown, each compact motif symmetrically built and set within an implied diamond cell. The repeat is so even and so precisely maintained that the surface reads as one seamless textile plane rather than an accumulation of individual motifs, yet close inspection reveals the subtle character of handwork and naturally dyed wool. An ivory border frames the runner with an angular meander of stepped geometric forms in rust, blue, and brown, its rectilinear movement providing a bold boundary that keeps energy around the full perimeter without weakening at the corners. In excellent vintage condition, the rust ground retains rich saturation, while natural abrash introduces tonal nuance that only age and hand-dyed wool can produce.

Story Behind the Art: In rug design, a “gul” (sometimes written “göl”) refers to the repeating geometric medallions that define many Turkmen tribal rugs from Central Asia. While the word is often translated as “flower” in regional languages, gul motifs are usually stylized—more angular and abstract than literally floral. Traditionally, each Turkmen tribe used its own distinct gul pattern like a visual signature, making the motif a key clue to a rug’s origin and heritage. A vintage gul rug is an older piece—often several decades to more than a century old—featuring these classic tribal medallion repeats, commonly in deep reds and burgundies with darker contrasting accents. Collectors value them for their saturated color, bold graphic presence, and the craftsmanship and history woven into every motif.

Format: Hardcover
I consider this a must buy for anybody who calls themselves fans of the Halo franchise. The level of detail in this book is out of this world and the quality is top notch. This book has amazing artwork and a plethora of information you could easily spend countless hours diving into. I've been playing Halo for two decades now and I have learned more from this book about the Halo universe than I ever did playing the games.

A Fantastic overview of the Halo universe in a beautiful format
Format: Hardcover, Format: Hardcover
Truly an excellent book. Goes over nearly everything with detail and beautiful images. Everything from Noble Team, to the races of the Covenant, weapons, ships, frigates, and much much more. This book is so full of information it makes my arm sore holding it while I read. Highly recommend this for Halo Fans. As a fan who’s loved the series since Halo 2 in 2004, I would never hesitate to buy this book. Darkhorse has published a winner here!

Very Nice but don’t expect perfect condition
Format: Hardcover
Very nice book and thick with super nice pictures, it was a Christmas gift. My son collects books, but it was damaged. It was inside of a very nice box but not enough filling . But the edges are all messed up. Not really worth collecting. If you don’t care about the book being in very nice condition, this is a nice book.
