9g Citrulline, 5g Creatine, Controlled Mid-Stim Energy

Anabolic Warfare Defcon 3 Mid-Stim is all about boosting your gym performance with solid doses of key ingredients, not just loading up on stims to mask weak stuff. The idea is to crank up blood flow, help you handle high-intensity sets, hit full doses of daily strength boosters, sharpen your focus, and give you moderate energy that lasts without the big spike and drop. For folks who know their supps, this is what makes a real pre-workout stand out from a basic energy drink.

It kicks off with 9,000mg of L-citrulline malate, which is more than the usual 6-8g you see for supporting nitric oxide (that's the stuff that widens blood vessels) and workout performance. Citrulline turns into arginine better than taking arginine straight, boosting nitric oxide to help with blood vessel expansion, more blood to your muscles, and that full, tight pump you feel during sets. Then there's 1,000mg Nitrosigine®, a patented form of arginine silicate stabilized with inositol. Studies look at it most at 1.5g, so this is a bit under that for a full standalone dose, but it's still solid because it works alongside citrulline in a different way: it protects arginine delivery, kicks in quick, and keeps blood flow going longer. Basically, citrulline handles the main pump work, and Nitrosigine® adds another angle plus some brain benefits.

On the performance side, 5,000mg beta-alanine is a full-on dose and then some. Beta-alanine is what your body uses to make carnosine, which buffers acid buildup in muscles during tough efforts. That's huge for those in-between training spots—like high-rep leg days, long supersets, repeated sprints, CrossFit workouts, and any set where the burn usually shuts you down before the target muscle

AW Defcon 3 Mid-Stim by Anabolic Warfare contains 20mg Thiamine (Vitamin B1), a effective dose for training performance and pump.

Key Highlights

  • 9,000mg L-Citrulline Malate — that's a huge dose, bigger than the usual 6-8g in most pre-workouts. It helps make nitric oxide through the arginine pathway, which means better blood vessel opening, stronger pumps, and more blood flow when you're training hard.
  • 5,000mg Beta-Alanine — a big endurance booster that's perfect for intense workouts. It builds up carnosine in your muscles over time, which fights off the acid that causes that deep burn and makes you quit early in long sets, intervals, or repeated pushes.
  • 5,000mg Betaine Anhydrous — way more than what you get in a lot of basic pre-workouts. It helps keep your cells hydrated and boosts power, so it's great for lifters who want to perform better when they're tired, not just get a quick stim hit.
  • 5,000mg Creatine Monohydrate — the standard daily amount right in your pre-workout. This means you're not just getting a workout buzz; you're covering a top ingredient for reloading energy in muscles, building strength, keeping muscles full, and supporting gains over time.
  • 1,200mg Alpha-GPC — a solid dose of this choline source for better focus, control over your movements, and that mind-muscle link. It's the kind of amount that really shows up in the gym, especially on technical lifts or high-rep bodybuilding days where form counts.
  • 1,000mg Nitrosigine® — patented arginine silicate for blood flow and brain performance. 1.5g is the dose studied most on its own, but 1g still adds real value next to citrulline and makes this more than a simple pump product.
  • 225mg Total Caffeine from Dual Sources — 200mg caffeine anhydrous plus 25mg zümXR® extended-release caffeine. This setup gives you energy that builds quick but lasts longer, without the hard peak and crash of single-shot caffeine.
  • 500mg L-Theanine — a good amount to balance out the stims. Studies show pairing it with caffeine gives you cleaner focus, more calm, and that dialed-in vibe without the jittery mess in heavy pre-workouts.

AW Defcon 3 Mid-Stim by Anabolic Warfare contains 20mg Thiamine (Vitamin B1), a effective dose for training performance and pump.

Who Is This For?

  • Intermediate bodybuilders on hypertrophy push/pull/legs or bro splits who dig big pumps, tight training, and mind-muscle vibes. The 9g citrulline malate, 1g Nitrosigine®, and 1,200mg Alpha-GPC nail that: fuller muscles, better flow, and crisp form on compounds and isolations.
  • Strength folks in build-up phases needing more than energy. 5g creatine monohydrate, 5g betaine anhydrous, and 5g beta-alanine help energy turnover, cell hydration, and fatigue fight during heavy sets and volume work.
  • Lifters after a mid-stim pre that still feels top-notch. 225mg caffeine split fast anhydrous and extended zümXR® gives controlled energy without slamming you like high-stim bombs.
  • Afternoon or early-evening gym rats who hate jittery pre's ruining the flow. 500mg L-theanine tames the caffeine, theobromine adds mild, lasting alertness that's easier than pure anhydrous.
  • Cross-trainers and circuit guys in that 1-10 minute grind where beta-alanine kills it. 5g is right in the effective zone for building carnosine and pushing high-intensity capacity with regular use.
  • Folks streamlining their supp stack without skimping. With full 5g creatine, big citrulline, betaine, and focus stuff, it covers what you'd buy separately.

How to Use

Mix 1 scoop in 8-12 oz cold water and down it 20-30 minutes pre-workout. That gives caffeine anhydrous and Alpha-GPC time to fire up, and pumps are ready by working sets. New to pre's, caffeine-sensitive, or hate beta-alanine tingles? Start with half for the first few goes. Shake it in a bottle for better mix—30.9g scoop is hefty with all those actives. More water tones down sweetness, cold makes it go down easier. Empty stomach speeds it up, but a light meal 60-90 minutes before helps if fasted caffeine bugs you. Skip stacking with other pre's, burners, or big coffees—it's already at 225mg caffeine plus theobromine. Daily use rocks for creatine and beta-alanine benefits, which build with steady intake. Keep it sealed, cool, and dry to avoid clumping.

What to Expect

Minutes 0-10: right after mixing and sipping, not much yet besides early stim vibes and maybe a touch of beta-alanine tingle for some. Minutes 10-20: caffeine anhydrous starts rolling, theanine keeps it even, and beta-alanine tingles can ramp up, especially first time. Minutes 20-40: prime time to start lifting—energy's set, Alpha-GPC dials in focus, and citrulline/Nitrosigine® bring the pumps and muscle feel. Minutes 40-90: no quick drop; 25mg zümXR® and 200mg theobromine extend the alertness so the workout's end still feels strong. Days 1-7: you'll notice the energy, pumps, and focus most, with beta-alanine tingles peaking here. Weeks 2-4: creatine levels build, beta-alanine ups carnosine, and it shifts from a quick hit to a reliable gym boost.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much caffeine is in Anabolic Warfare Defcon 3 Mid-Stim?

Each full scoop provides 225mg total caffeine: 200mg from caffeine anhydrous and 25mg from zümXR® extended-release caffeine. That makes it a true moderate-stim pre-workout with a smoother, longer energy profile than formulas relying only on instant-release caffeine.

Is Defcon 3 Mid-Stim more of a pump pre-workout or an energy pre-workout?

It is both, but the formula clearly leans performance-first rather than stim-first. The 9g L-citrulline malate, 1g Nitrosigine®, 5g beta-alanine, 5g betaine, and 5g creatine give it a stronger pump and output foundation than most caffeine-led pre-workouts.

Does this product contain a full daily dose of creatine?

Yes. Defcon 3 Mid-Stim includes 5g creatine monohydrate per serving, which is the standard evidence-based daily dose used to support ATP regeneration, strength, and muscle performance. Many users will not need a separate creatine product if they use this consistently.

Why does this formula use both caffeine anhydrous and zümXR®?

Caffeine anhydrous gives the faster onset most users expect from a pre-workout, while zümXR® uses a targeted-release delivery system to extend the serum caffeine curve. The goal is a more stable workout experience with less of the hard drop common to single-source caffeine formulas.

Will Defcon 3 Mid-Stim make me tingle?

Very likely, especially if you are new to beta-alanine. The formula contains 5g beta-alanine, which is above the classic 3.2g benchmark and commonly causes harmless paresthesia—a prickly or tingling sensation on the skin that fades as the session progresses.

Is 1,000mg Nitrosigine® enough to matter?

The most studied standalone dose for Nitrosigine® is 1.5g, so 1g is below the primary research benchmark. That said, it is still a meaningful inclusion here because it is stacked with a very large 9g citrulline malate dose, so it functions as a complementary blood-flow and focus ingredient rather than the sole pump driver.

Can beginners use Defcon 3 Mid-Stim?

Beginners can use it, but they should not jump straight into a full scoop unless they already know they tolerate pre-workouts well. Between 225mg total caffeine and 5g beta-alanine, starting with half a scoop is the smart way to assess energy tolerance and tingling response.

Should I take this only on training days or every day?

For acute energy and pump, training-day use is fine. For the full benefits of creatine and beta-alanine, daily consistency is better because both ingredients work partly through saturation and accumulation over time, not just a same-day effect.

Can I stack Defcon 3 Mid-Stim with another stim product?

That is generally not a good idea. This formula already contains 225mg total caffeine plus 200mg theobromine, so adding a fat burner, energy drink, or second pre-workout can push stimulation higher than intended and make the experience jittery or disruptive to sleep.

What makes this different from typical Amazon pre-workouts?

The biggest difference is dosing integrity. Many mainstream formulas underdeliver on the expensive performance ingredients, but Defcon 3 Mid-Stim gives you 9g citrulline malate, 5g beta-alanine, 5g betaine, 5g creatine, and a fully disclosed label with no proprietary blend hiding weak amounts.

Baby bumps and bodyguards
Format: Kindle
Dark, emotional, and unexpectedly tender, Not Ready is an omegaverse romance that delivers found family feels, fierce protectiveness, and a very pregnant heroine who refuses to break. Vale’s on the run from a stalker, but lands in the arms of three private security alphas, cue the swoony tension, fake marriage twist, and slow-burn heat. It’s a little gritty, a little soft, and a whole lot addictive. If you love protective alphas, high stakes, and heroines with quiet strength, this one’s a must-read.

Strong Omegaverse Comfort and a Attention Grabbing Plot
Format: Kindle
Jillian West never misses when it comes to Omegaverse, and Not Ready is no exception. This story was the perfect blend of cozy comfort and emotional depth while still delivering a strong plot. Vale is such a powerful heroine, she is strong, capable, and determined but I love that she still allows her pack to love and take care of her. It’s that balance of independence and vulnerability that makes her so relatable. The relationship dynamics were amazing: Bishop is steadfast and completely head over heels, Mercy is skeptical but protective in his own way, and Holt is the hesitant one whose slow fall is so satisfying to watch unfold. The romance hits that sweet spot between insta-love and cautious build, keeping me hooked the entire way through. And that ending. Oh my god, the cliffhanger! I need the next book in this duet immediately.

Interesting
Format: Kindle
So I will say I enjoyed the story, for sure had its moments where it dragged but it was a great story. I really liked that omegas picked their alphas/make the pack. Normally the Alphas make it and the omega fits in with them which is great but I enjoyed this new version where all the power basically went to the omega. It was a nice change of pace. I can admit some of the weird bedroom stuff with her being pregnant was odd, it’s really not hard to do stuff when pregnant (I know I’ve had two and it’s normal and even encouraged at the end especially if you want the baby out). But I like the story as a whole and will read the second, I do hope the next one isn’t dragged bc it stopped being action or tense after she met her alphas and I don’t think it was brought up or properly done when they tried to do it. More sweet after she left.

I’m a little disappointed.
Format: Kindle
I usually like Jillian West’s books but this one was missing a lot for me. The pregnancy didn’t come across as real. She’s on her feet for 12 hour days but is perfectly healthy at 8 months pregnant? Yet the week she moves in all of a sudden she’s not? She is planning on actually running during one of the plot buildups. But at 8 months pregnant that’s incredibly hard to do. The lack of breathing ability and lung space, the change in body center, mass, and gravity. All of it prohibits running, unless you’re an athlete this didn’t come off as at all realistic. I didn’t feel any connection with the alphas. There wasn’t any emotional connection. It could be because of the tense it was written in. But I didn’t get any deep feelings out of this. It came across as checking off boxes. Even the spicy scenes weren’t really believable for me. I wanted to see them fall for her, and it just kind of all fizzled. Even Bishop. One thing I did really like was the ending. I did not see it coming and I’m interested in reading book two because of it. But on the whole this book was mostly disappointing for me.

4.25 stars
Format: Kindle
Vale is an 8 month pregnant omega working as a waitress at a strip club and a cam girl. She starts to get very creepy vibes from a regular at the club, and her baby daddy ghosted her. She has had an online relationship with a man named Bishop through her cam girl status. One night, bishop was paying to watch her sleep and ansthe creepy regular Andrew break in and watch her sleep he tells vale to come to him at his business now. She flees and finds herself at a large security company with some.hot of alphas who are there to help her. This imegaverse is a little different than I have read, but I am thoroughly enjoying it. Vale is not a traditional omega she was raised by a single beta mom, and the alphas are not normal alphas they have never really loved pack life. But they are ruthless mercenaries. They need her, and she needs them. I love the aspect of the stalker and now the plot twists at the end, so so good. Sometimes, it seemed a little slow and stale mated, but since this a duet, I think It was just her starting to have Vale get to know her alpha suitors. Cliffhanger for sure with this one.
