Maple - Sueded Long Sleeve TeeI first used these Maple images on my glass art, and I loved them so much that when I started printing graphic tees, I decided to put them on shirts too. The process to get these very detailed images on both glass and fabric is the same. I press dry real maple leaves and then sandblast them (very carefully) so that the veins and patterns from the leaf emerge more clearly. The process to get these very detailed images on both glass and fabric is the same. I press-dry real maple leaves and then sandblast them (very carefully) so that the veins and patterns from the leaf emerge more clearly. I take macro-photos to capture the detail as much as possible, and then digitally edit them to enhance the contrast. From these, I create transparencies that I can expose onto a silk screen. Then I can print the image onto the shirt fabric. The Cascading Leaves design is done the very same way.
