Unmatched Adventures: Tales to Amaze brings a fresh twist to the Unmatched series, immersing players in the thrilling world of mid-20th-century pulp adventures, tall tales, and local legends. In this game, players team up to take down one of two formidable villains: Mothman or the Martian Invader. Each villain presents a unique battlefield with specific objectives. If the villain achieves their goal (or defeats the heroes), the players lose.
The villains are supported by a host of menacing minions, including the Jersey Devil, Ant Queen, Loveland Frog, The Blob, Tarantula, and Skunk Ape. These enemies utilize special action cards and a straightforward targeting system to dictate their movements and attacks.
The set introduces four new heroes: Nikola Tesla, who discharges electrified coils to power up his abilities; Annie Christmas, who grows stronger when fighting from behind; The Golden Bat, the world's first superhero with a range of powerful effects; and Dr. Jill Trent, Science Sleuth, who relies on an array of ingenious gizmos.
True to the Unmatched brand, you can mix and match heroes from other Unmatched sets in Unmatched Adventures, and the included heroes and battlefields can also be used in competitive Unmatched play.
