KEF's original LS50 Wireless speaker system made waves in the audio world winning multiple awards and was a huge hit with customers, offering impressive sonic fidelity in a convenient, self-powered package. The new LS50 Wireless II retains the sleek looks while making some important tweaks for even better performance. For starters, KEF has upgraded the built-in amplification with each tweeter now driven by a 100W Class A/B amplifier, delivering smooth, incredibly detailed treble performance whilst dedicated 280W Class D amplifiers power the mid/bass drivers to ensure room-filling, controlled sound even at higher volume levels.

Revolutionary sound absorption

LS50 Wireless II benefits from KEF's new and innovative Metamaterial Absorption Technology (MAT). It's a highly complex, maze-like structure that's tuned to absorb unwanted sound coming from the rear of the tweeter. The resulting sound is clear, purer, and more detailed.

KEF KC62 Active Subwoofer - Elegant and powerful

KEF’s KC62 is an incredibly compact, good looking subwoofer that delivers the might and magic of deep, accurate bass for a thrillingly immersive music, movie and gaming experience. Created using innovative KEF engineering including the ground-breaking Uni-Core™ technology, the football-sized KC62 features two 6.5inch force cancelling drive units powered by 1,000W RMS of specially designed Class D amplification. KC62 is a perfect match to LS50 Wireless II speakers, both sonically and visually.

Multiple wireless music streaming options

These speakers are equipped with dual-band Wi-Fi® and Bluetooth® 4.2 as well as having AirPlay2 and Google Chromecast built-in. LS50 Wireless II are also Roon Ready and UPnP compatible. The free KEF Connect app offers access to popular music streaming apps, including Spotify® (via Spotify Connect), Tidal, Amazon Music, Qobuz, and Deezer. And internet radio and podcast listening are also available.

Wired connections

The primary speaker in this pair is equipped with the following high-resolution digital inputs for connecting external components: HDMI eARC (24-bit/192kHz) for improving sound from a compatible TV, Toslink optical digital input (24-bit/96kHz), Digital coaxial input (24-bit/192kHz), RJ-45 Ethernet port for network connection (accepts signals up to 24-bit/384kHz)

There's also an analogue 3.5mm auxiliary input and a mono RCA subwoofer output. The speakers can be interconnected via Ethernet cable or wirelessly. (A wired connection allows higher-resolution 24-bit/192kHz playback.)

A room-filling "sweet spot," thanks to Uni-Q technology

KEF's patented Uni-Q technology places each speaker's tweeter in the acoustic center of the bass/midrange cone. That lets the LS50 Wireless II create a detailed, accurate, three-dimensional sound image. In essence, it makes the "sweet spot" — the ideal listening position — much larger. Sit wherever you like! It'll sound fantastic.

Careful cabinet design

The LS50 Wireless II's extremely rigid cabinet uses smooth, curved surfaces that help the sound radiate outward without distortion. It also features a patented offset, flexible port for reduced midrange coloration. As with previous LS50 models, the cabinet uses a grille-less design to show off the cool-looking driver array and super-stylish colour options.
