The Yamaha R-N1000A combines audiophile-grade amplification, high-resolution digital processing, and advanced room correction in one elegant, fully connected chassis. Sitting just below Yamaha’s flagship R-N2000A, the 1000A offers much of its performance at a more accessible price.

At its core, the R-N1000A employs a discrete Class-AB amplifier stage delivering 100 W per channel into 8 ohms (20 Hz–20 kHz, 0.07% THD), with a robust power supply featuring a custom EI transformer, high-grade block capacitors, and low-resistance copper wiring to ensure stable current delivery and high transient performance.

Yamaha’s ToP-ART (Total Purity Audio Reproduction Technology) layout keeps the left and right signal paths symmetrical and short, reducing crosstalk and distortion. The chassis uses a double-bottom construction with a 1 mm steel plate and Anti-Resonance feet, effectively minimising vibration for greater clarity and focus.

Digital processing is handled by the ESS Sabre ES9080Q DAC, capable of PCM 384 kHz / 32-bit and DSD 11.2 MHz playback via the asynchronous USB-B input. The DAC section supports high-resolution streaming and local file playback with excellent dynamic range and low noise.

To ensure consistent performance in any environment, the R-N1000A integrates YPAO-R.S.C. (Reflected Sound Control) room calibration technology — a feature inherited from Yamaha’s AV receivers. This automatically analyses speaker placement, distance, and reflections, then adjusts EQ and timing to deliver balanced, accurate sound tailored to your room.
