Originally, the 1998. 5 2004. 5 Cummins featured a block mounted lift pump that was notorious for failing. After years of failing, Dodge released an "upgrade" that moved the pump into the fuel basket within the fuel tank.

For owners of 1998.5-2004.5 Dodge Cummins that have previously had their trucks upgraded with the factory OEM intank fuel pump conversion and looking to make the switch to a BD Flow-MaX fuel pump, you'll need this conversion kit.

Originally, the 1998.5-2004.5 Cummins featured a block mounted lift pump that was notorious for failing. After years of failing, Dodge released an "upgrade" that moved the pump into the fuel basket within the fuel tank. If your truck has this conversion, you will need this adapter in order to run one of BD's Flow-MaX fuel pump kits.
