At 1. 45 they will not have interference with the fuel pump eccentric on 12 valve engines and are much wider than the 1. 1 tappets used in early 12 valve engines. This means they have more surface area to work with Hamilton's wider lobes,which will promote much better lobe life with todays low zinc oils.
