Great for crafts or storage in any room of the home. Handcrafted by the creative Wolof women artisans in rural Senegal. Over 100 women craft these beautiful baskets bringing much needed income to help support their families. This modern African artistry entails weaving in the coil style by binding dried cattail stalks with plastic strips salvaged from a Dakar mat factory.
