Making your own fabric boxes and cases is a great idea! It is so fun and it makes a unique handmade gift! You can make your own keepsake boxes, cases and much more out of paperboard, fabric and glue with this lovely craft!! And your pieces will be sturdy as wood, but made with your favorite fabric!

This DIY cartonnage Kit comes with all precut paper (paperboard, poster board and kraft paper) you need to make your own box, as shown in the pictures. The finished sewing kit will be 5.25" x 4" x 1.5" closed, great to keep some sewing notions and carry around, or to make as a special gift for a friend. Great for college students, put just what they need for simple sewing tasks. With this DIY kit there is no worries about cutting paper! Fabric and other contents showed in pictures are not included.

ONLINE INSTRUCTIONS NOW AVAILABLE! The instruction is a very clear PDF tutorial (eBook) with lots of pictures showing in details step by step to guide you through the whole process (it is not video, it's eBook), no steps missing, no guessing! Inside the kit you will find the password and easy directions to download the instruction to your computer.

For making the box you will need this kit, two coordinating fabrics (1 fat quarter each), glue (Glue All from Elmer's), rotary cutter, cutting board, scissors, a small paint roller with tray, paint brush, masking tape, elastic bands and hot glue. 

Cartonnage tools (spatula, acrylic spacers and corner tool) will facilitate the process and give a better finishing for your project. Find them in the tools section of the shop.
