The combination of grapes from old vines, 24 months of aging on lees and in new French oak barrels, plus an additional year of aging in the bottle, produce a complex wine with aromas of sundried tomatoes, smoky black fruits, strawberries, dark cherries, licorice and spices. It has a full body and long finish with persistent aromas. It pairs well with barbecued and roasted meats, as well as roasted peppers and stuffed peppers.
