The Yoshihiro Hongasumi Blue Steel Deba Filet Japanese Knife is forged from High Carbon Blue Steel #2 with a HRC of 63-64, offering exceptional edge retention and the ability to achieve a finer edge compared to the Kasumi Deba made from White Steel #2. This knife is perfect for intermediate-level chefs and is ready to use right out of the box. It includes a Magnolia wood sheath, knife oil, and a rust eraser to maintain the blade's performance and appearance. Handcrafted with precision in Japan, it's not mass-produced, ensuring a unique, high-quality blade.

Designed specifically for carving and filleting fish, the Yoshihiro Hongasumi Blue Steel Deba Filet Knife also excels at cutting through some meats. The heavy, single-edged blade effortlessly slices through fish flesh and meat. The Hongasumi forging technique—layering softer steel over a hard steel core—provides superior sharpness, edge retention, and durability. The Blue Steel #2 core delivers a razor-sharp edge, while the softer surrounding iron adds resilience to the blade.

Crafted using traditional techniques, the Yoshihiro Hongasumi Blue Steel Deba Knife features a completely flat ground front (shinogi) and a concave ground (urasuki) with a flat rim (uraoshi) on the back. The octagonal handle, made of Shitan Rosewood, complements the blade perfectly, offering comfort and control during use.

As with all traditional Japanese knives, sharpening and honing should be done using high-quality Japanese water stones. Hand wash and dry immediately after use, particularly when working with acidic ingredients, to preserve the blade. This knife is specifically designed for boneless fish flesh and is not recommended for cutting through bones.

Good Results
I have always struggled with dry, cracked heels, but I’ve finally found a solution that keeps them consistently hydrated: these special socks with a moisturizing silicone lining on the heels. My heels now feel incredibly soft, but it’s important to note that consistency is key. Wearing these socks every night before bed has made a significant difference. It’s not enough to just wear them once and expect results; you have to be diligent and make it a part of your nightly routine. After a few weeks of nightly use, my heels are much softer and no longer cracked. What I love about these socks is how easy they are to use. Just slip them on before going to sleep, and the silicone lining does its magic overnight. By morning, my heels feel smooth and well-moisturized. For anyone struggling with dry heels, I highly recommend these socks. Remember, the secret is consistency. Stick with it, and you’ll see the difference!

So comfortable!
These work great and very comfortable. I put these on with heel moisturizer cream at bed time. Heels were improved overnight. They are washable too!

Just aren’t large enough.
This is a great idea, and I can wear socks over them and not notice they are there. I just wish they came in a larger size. When I put cream around the edges of my heels where the cracks always are, I cannot stretch the socks wide enough to clear the heel without smearing the cream onto my fingers or on the sock cuff. They do stay in place and aren't squishy at all when walking. They smell good too. The price is right. I wore them overnight and my heels were indeed much softer and smoother than before, and felt moist (tacky) where the cream had been. So they do an amazing job, but after using them six nights, they just aren’t large enough for me to put on without a hassle.

yoga socks
I’m a weirdo and don’t like to walk around barefoot. So, these help me feel like I’ve got socks on while allowing my toes to breathe. I just wear them around the house. They can work as flipflop socks for a quick trip to the mailbox. I do like to randomly hit the occasional yoga pose so the grippiness is helpful in that regard. I have wide feet and have not found the toe openings to be tight or any other fit problems. So far they have survived standard machine washing.Unfortunately, when I first tried on a pair, the material started to rip. I wear a 7-7.5 shoe size. I think these are made for smaller feet. The material is thin and doesn't stretch. The colors are pretty and it's a good price. I have to return them due to being too small. If you have smaller feet, they are worth trying.
