H-RTK NEO-F9P

Look, we know the feeling. You’re flying a £1,000+ rig and your legacy GPS is telling you that you’re currently three streets over in Mrs. Higgins' koi pond. The H-RTK NEO-F9P is here to end the existential dread of "estimated" positioning. Using the industry-leading u-blox NEO-F9P, this isn't just a GPS; it's a "I know exactly which blade of grass I'm hovering over" sensor. If you're still using a standard M8N, you're basically navigating by the stars and a damp finger in the wind.

Why You Want It

Because you’ve outgrown the L1-only life. This module juggles L1 and L5 bands like a circus performer on caffeine, giving you RTK fixes faster than you can say "where did my signal go?". It’s got a PNI RM3100 compass inside too, because why settle for a "meh" compass when you can have the industry gold standard that doesn't get confused by a stray paperclip or your motor's magnetic field.

Specs

  • GNSS Receiver: u-blox NEO-F9P (The brainy one).
  • Compass: PNI RM3100 (High resolution, zero offset drift, basically magic).
  • Concurrent Reception: GPS (L1 & L5), GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou, and QZSS.
  • Indicators: Tri-color LED (Pretty lights that actually mean something).
  • Connectivity: UART or DroneCAN options (DroneCAN includes MCU, IMU, and Barometer).
  • Convergence Time: Rapid RTK Fix (Less waiting, more flying).
  • Filtering: Integrated SAW filter and LNA for maximum noise immunity.

In the Box

  • 1x H-RTK NEO-F9P Module (40cm cable)
  • 1x High-Gain Antenna (Variety depends on selection)
  • Necessary GH1.25/DroneCAN Cables (So you don't have to break out the soldering iron immediately)

Compatibility

Plugs straight into your Pixhawk, Orange Cube, or any flight controller running ArduPilot or PX4. If you're trying to wire this into a toaster, we can't help you, but it would be very accurately positioned toast.

Highlights

  • Multi-Band RTK: Centimetre-level accuracy for high-volume, dynamic applications.
  • RM3100 Magnetic Sensor: Exceptional noise immunity and stability across temperature shifts.
  • DroneCAN Ready: The DroneCAN version acts as a full sensor hub with its own IMU and Baro.

Notes

Requires an RTK Base Station or NTRIP correction service to achieve that sweet, sweet centimetre accuracy. Without it, it's just a very, very expensive, very good GPS. Also, don't bury it under a carbon fibre plate and wonder why it can't see the sky.

Disclaimer

Centimetre accuracy does not make you a better pilot. You can still hit a tree with 0.01m precision.

A Beta Worth Rooting For
Format: Kindle
In Spare, Violet Fox flips the omegaverse on its head, giving us a Beta heroine determined to make her mark. Joining the Beta Trials to support her sick father, she's thrown into a pack that doesn't want her, especially the possessive Alphas. But here's the twist: their sweet Omega turns out to be her scent match. Cue the angst, forbidden tension, and a slow-burn romance that will make your heart ache in the best way. Violet Fox delivers an emotional, refreshing take on the genre, proving Betas aren't "spares." They're stars.

Beta, Alpha, Omega oh my!
Format: Kindle
Omegas are precious and given to Alphas & their packs... but the Betas want in too. To this end, the Beta government is rolling out its trial of assigning a Beta to each Alpha-Omega pack. But forcing a Beta into a pack where they are not wanted will not end well... Of course, no one expected the Omega to fall for the assigned Beta. Great read and cliffhanger

A familiar story, just with…..less.
Format: Kindle
So, as other reviewers make clear, this is very similar to Pack Darling and The Beta. It’s much closer aligned with The Beta, in plot and maybe more like Pack Darling with characters. That being said, I don’t hate this…..but it wasn’t great either. It’s both books mentioned but just….less. Less angst, less emotion, less feeling. The plot feels very half fleshed out, and the “bad guy” feels underwhelming. I didn’t really feel any real emotions from and of the male leads, except maybe Oliver. The others fell sorta flat for me. And Mika makes herself out to be this big bad ass straight outta training and then we never see it from here again with the one fitting room incident as the exception. SPOILER: The whole, “Oh, I’m actually probably an Omega, but I don’t wanna be but I do actually wanna be but no one can ever know my secret that I do nothing to hide “ thing fell so flat. She never commutes to believing she was secretly an omega, but also mentions her “secret” a lot. It just felt so manufactured. I’m intrigued enough to read part 2 and see how the author closes everything out, but this is not one I’ll recommend or ever come back to.

Fun with a late blooming omega
Format: Kindle
I like this book. The story is fun, cute, and sexy. There's just a little drama, some excellent, steamy scenes, and a fairly good relationship building storyline. I especially like how all the main characters are a bit older than the usual 20 somethings I tend to see in this kind of book. Having said that, I wish there were more descriptions of the places, as well as the food in the fancy restaurant. I enjoyed the cocktails at the club, so I missed that kind of detail when Gray took Madison on a dinner date. I also wish there had been more interaction between Lucas and Madison, and Lucas and Rian. It felt a bit lopsided, with a focus on Rian, Madison, and Gray. I wish it had been proofread - there are a lot of typos, but nothing too distracting.
