The SX22-BRK is a 4.5"x20” Drop-In cartridge kit that utilizes ScaleX2®, a chemical-free scale inhibition technology that utilizes Template-Induced Crystallization to effectively inhibit the formation of calcium-carbonate scale. This cartridges are ideal for applications requiring up to 4 gpm flow. In most cases, the cartridge will perform for one-year between filter changes. The SX22BRK consists of (1) CTO-20B carbon impregnated cartridge that filters down to 0.5 micron for taste and odor, and (1) SCLX2-4 ScaleX2® cartridge.

• ScaleX2® acheived a 99.6% effectiveness rating when tested by an independent laboratory against the international protocol for scale prevention.
 
• Gradient-density depth filtration reduces dirt, rust, and other debris as small as 1/2 micron to assure clean, clear water and protect solenoids, valves and other fittings against wear and plugging.
 
• Reduces maintenance frequency and cost, and extends equipment life.
 
• High capacity cartridge extends filter system life reducing maintenance frequency.
 
• Activated carbon filtration makes water taste great and protects equipment against corrosive chlorine.
 
• Protects boilers, steam generators and coffee equipment against the formation and accumulation of calciumcarbonate scale.
 
• Generates less waste, only the drop-in cartridge is replaced. No discarding of metal or plastic quick-change filters.
 
• Replacement cartridge cost per gallon is much less than proprietary quick-change filters.
 
• NSF Certified under Standard 42 as replacement cartridge in OptiPure SX2 series systems.
