This is a small Red and Blue Vintage Turkish Rug measuring 3'3''X1'9''(100 cms x 57 cms). A lovely, hand-knotted small mat, this piece probably began its' life as a floor / sleeping pillow or storage bag for everyday use in village homes or in tents on nomadic travels. This mat was traditionally woven using locally sourced sheep wool in Central Anatolia, Turkey up to 60 years ago. Originally very strongly colored, this rug has been been “color reformed” / “sun faded” and / or “overdyed” and the pile reduced to produce the muted / distressed “Vintage" appearance so popular for interior home decoration at this time. This Small Mat is perfect for use in entry ways, in front of the sink in the kitchen or beside a bed etc.

Relevant to the present day.
Format: Paperback
Joseph Stalin makes the concepts of dialectical and historical materialism accessible to the lay-person in this work. It's short, but dense and does a good job of explaining why the communist party of the 1920s and 1930s chose to pursue the policies they did. A fascinating insight into the fundamental world-view of a controversial world figure. Only 44 pages, but you will likely reread it several times in order to truly internalize its messaging. Thankful to the seller for making this essay available as the works of polarizing political figures are often censored, suppressed or outright banned in many places. The English translation does a fine job of conveying the original essay written in Russian.

This is a supplemental reading to assist with your understanding ...
This is a supplemental reading to assist with your understanding of dialectical materialism. I strongly suggest you read this with Socialism: Scientific and Utopian by Engels if you wish to have a conceptual understanding of dialectical materialism without going through massive tomes by other authors. Stalin writes fairly straightforward, and he covers a basic introduction of what dialectical and historical materialism are and how they work.
