ENGLISH DESCRIPTION

A volume that compiles two collections of articles written by José Saramago between 1968 and 1972 for the journal A Capital and the weekly Jornal do Fundão.

Both books in this volume contain articles written with a clear and straight-forward language, in which reflectiveness, observation, and the review of several topics come together.

Of This World and the Next is a series of brief chronicles about everyday life and its mysteries. In The Traveler's Luggage, Saramago speaks of his childhood, his family, his experiences, and political deceptions, as well as city life, art, and museums. In both cases, his prose expresses a fine humor and the kind of irony that invites one to keep on reading. Put together, the two works offer a glimpse at a close and forthright author, seemingly conversing with his readers in person.

Dragons
Format: Paperback
I can only say WOWS again—Casey Grimes wasn’t in this but others from the previous book where. Can’t wait to read the next book—will there be dragons in it—the previous books keep mentioning dragons and this book was excellent—I am going to hate when I run out of this series

Kansas City Dragon Business
Format: Paperback, Format: Paperback
This novel reveals a little-known part of Kansas City’s past—in the 1930s it was running a brisk dragon hatching, renting and sales business! Fast forward 80 or 90 years after the operation was shut down by the city—and be amazed! A suburban family with four boys moves into a 100-year old house in Crossroads of KC and into the adventure of their lives. Add a talking lizard and a trash-talking wizard out of the past, and you have a tale funny, terrifying, and thought-provoking all at once. I hope to see this in every bookstore window in Kansas City!
