Assembly & Loading Instructions

Loading a fresh filament refill onto your master spool takes less than a minute. Follow these simple steps to ensure a perfect seat:

  1. Locate & Align: Find the small physical locator block on the inner barrel of the Wide Piece. Align this block precisely with the corresponding notch stamped on the inner core ring of your new filament refill roll, then slide the wide piece into the roll.
  2. Insert & Press: Take the Narrow Piece and insert it from the opposite side. Align the interlocking internal grooves of both pieces, pushing them firmly together until they are flush.
  3. Twist to Lock: Grip both halves securely, rotate the narrow piece clockwise relative to the wide piece until it slides cleanly into its track and you hear a distinct, physical click lock.
  4. Shim & Strip: Ensure the spacing shims are properly nested inside the spool configuration (retained right under the alignment triangle). Once the structure is completely locked, you can safely tear apart and pull away the temporary external plastic retention binding strips.

  • The "No Mid-Roll Swapping" Rule: This reusable spool is engineered to host a single refill ring from start to finish. Do NOT attempt to disassemble the spool or swap filament colors before a roll has been completely consumed. Opening the spool early releases the wound kinetic tension, causing the filament loop to instantly unravel, bird-nest, and become permanently tangled. If you want to run multiple active refill colors concurrently, ensure you stock up on multiple master spools.
  • How RFID Tracking Works: You don't lose automatic material detection by switching to refills. The smart RFID data chips are built directly into the inner rings of the individual Bambu Lab Refill Filament packages, not the permanent spool frame. Every time you drop a fresh refill color onto this spool, your AMS will instantly recognize the new material type, color profile, and inventory tracking data automatically.

Perfect fit, solved steering pump noise
Installed this o-ring kit on a 2009 Honda Odyssey. The steering pump was making noise and you could see bubbles in the fluid revivor when the engine was idling indicating a potential air leak from where the hoses attach to the pump. The most difficult part was finding the right 10mm wrench that would allow me to access the lower hose mounting bolt without removing the belt or pump pulley. I wound up taking an old wrench, heated it with a torch, and bent it in a vice to get the right fit. I did order a ratcheting, flex head wrench but while waiting for it to be delivered I was able to make something work. Overall, the o-ring kit worked great, the o-rings seem high quality and this fixed my issue. If you don't already have some, make sure to order the power steering fluid required for Asian/Honda vehicles when you order these o-rings.
