Our #16 rod has a line rating of 40lb to 80lb.  It is the longer 8′ version of our #15. This rod has been popular with anglers who Tarpon fish from piers with live bait, but it can also be used in deeper water exceeding 200ft for bottom fishing with braid or mono.  At 8′, the rod will take a lot of the abuse when the fish is on the way up which will prevent pulling hooks and will save the angler’s back.  We built this rod standard with a nylon gimble, an HD Fuji hooded reel seat, and HD Batson boat guides.
